Seorae Village (Korean: 서래마을), sometimes nicknamed "Montmartre", due to its hilltop location, or sometimes "French Village", is a small, affluent French ethnic enclave in Banpo-dong & Bangbae-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, South Korea. It is home to about 560 French people, roughly 40% of the French community in South Korea. Most of them are employees of French corporations doing business in the country. The majority (370) of the French population are children.The village began to form there in 1985, with the movement of Lycée Français de Séoul to the area. The school, one of the city's French international school, had formerly been located just north of the Han River in Hannam-dong, a large international neighborhood. French people with children followed, as did bakeries and wine shops. The village is the site of a 20,000 m2 park, "Montmartre Park", which is often the site of public events for foreigners. It is near Express Bus Terminal Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. The area has a large concentration of European-style restaurants and dessert cafes, as well as wineries and cafes stand along its main street.

The National Library of Korea (Korean: 국립중앙도서관) is located in the Seocho District of Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1945. It houses over 10 million volumes, including over 1,134,000 foreign books and some of the National Treasures of South Korea.

The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (SSMH; Korean: 가톨릭대학교 서울성모병원) is the representative teaching and research hospital of the Catholic University of Korea's College of Medicine located in Seoul, South Korea. SSMH operates under the Catholic Medical Center (CMC), which owns eight subsidiary hospitals and seven research centers in Korea. In March 2023, the hospital was ranked 91st among over 2,300 hospitals in the world.

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea (Korean: 대한민국학술원), is the senior national organization of distinguished Korean scientists and scholars. It was founded to promote learning and research in all areas of sciences by conferring membership and preferential treatment to those who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of sciences and learning. The Academy consists of 150 Fellows who are selected by their peers for their contributions to the sciences and education.

Sinbanpo Station is a railway station on Line 9 of the Seoul Subway.

The Chung-Ang University Business School (CBS) is the undergraduate and graduate business school of Chung-Ang University, located in Seoul, South Korea. The school traces its origins to the Division of Commerce established in 1948, in the context of the founding of the university in Seoul. This academic unit was formally reorganized in March 1955, becoming a university-level business school, a development described as a milestone as it was the first institution of its kind established in South Korea. During the following decades, the school developed regular academic programs in business administration, commerce, and related fields, gradually integrating into the university’s broader academic structure.

Dulwich College Seoul (DCSL; Korean: 덜위치칼리지서울영국학교) is a British international school in Banpo-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, South Korea. Affiliated with Dulwich College, it serves students from nursery (age 3) to Year 13 (age 18; US Grade 12). It was established in 2010, opening on 20 August that year. There are currently around 700 students and 200 staff in the school. It is adjacent to Gangnam. In addition it is in proximity to Seorae Village and Hannam-dong, each being a five-minute and fifteen minute car drive away. The shinbanpo subway station is also a two-minute walk from campus. The main building has seven floors, five above ground. It also has a pool. There is an underground paid parking area shared with a local church. The building has undergone many renovations. The school has had three heads of school: Daryl Orchard (2010–2014), Graeme Salt (2014–2020), Gudmundur Hegner Jonsson (2020–2024) and Alison Derbyshire (2024-)

Sehwa Girls' High School (Korean: 세화여자고등학교; Hanja: 世和女子高等學校) is a private girls high school located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Express Bus Terminal Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3, Line 7, and Line 9. The stations are located in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.It is located underneath the Seoul Express Bus Terminal (a.k.a. Gangnam Bus Terminal). There are several stores, including clothing and book stores, located throughout the station. The station also offers free internet portals for browsing the web and checking e-mail, which are located by the number 3 line. According to KT-published statistics in December 2010, the station was the network's most popular WiFi hotspot of all Seoul Metropolitan Subway stations, followed by Sadang Station, Dongdaemun Station, Jamsil Station and Jongno 3-ga Station. On November 19, 2010, the network's WiFi traffic at the station peaked at 23 gigabytes.This station is one of the most crowded subway station in the country, along with Gangnam, Jamsil, Samseong, Sindorim, and Sillim Station.The newly renovated Shinsegae department store is now connected from exit 8 into the famille street food section.

The Seoul Express Bus Terminal is the key bus terminal located in Seocho-gu, Seoul. It is connected underground to both the gangnam branch of the Shinsaegae department store and the banpo underground market, as well as containing its own share of stores. as of September 2021, the third floor is abandoned spare a single sewing shop.

The Supreme Court of Korea (Korean: 대법원; Hanja: 大法院; RR: Daebeobwon) is the highest ordinary court in the judicial branch of South Korea, seated in Seocho, Seoul. Established under Chapter 5 of the Constitution of South Korea, the Court has ultimate and comprehensive jurisdiction over all cases except those cases falling under the jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court of Korea. It consists of fourteen Justices, including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Korea. The Supreme Court is at the top of the hierarchy of all ordinary courts in South Korea, and traditionally represented the conventional judiciary of South Korea. The Supreme Court has equivalent status as one of the two highest courts in South Korea. The other is the Constitutional Court of Korea.

The Seoul Central District Court (Korean: 서울중앙지방법원) is a district court with jurisdiction over Gangnam, Gwanak, Dongjak, Seocho, Jongno, and Jung in Seoul, South Korea.
