Seoul Express Bus Terminal

Express Bus Terminal Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3, Line 7, and Line 9. The stations are located in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.It is located underneath the Seoul Express Bus Terminal (a.k.a. Gangnam Bus Terminal). There are several stores, including clothing and book stores, located throughout the station. The station also offers free internet portals for browsing the web and checking e-mail, which are located by the number 3 line. According to KT-published statistics in December 2010, the station was the network's most popular WiFi hotspot of all Seoul Metropolitan Subway stations, followed by Sadang Station, Dongdaemun Station, Jamsil Station and Jongno 3-ga Station. On November 19, 2010, the network's WiFi traffic at the station peaked at 23 gigabytes.This station is one of the most crowded subway station in the country, along with Gangnam, Jamsil, Samseong, Sindorim, and Sillim Station.The newly renovated Shinsegae department store is now connected from exit 8 into the famille street food section.

The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (SSMH; Korean: 가톨릭대학교 서울성모병원) is the representative teaching and research hospital of the Catholic University of Korea's College of Medicine located in Seoul, South Korea. SSMH operates under the Catholic Medical Center (CMC), which owns eight subsidiary hospitals and seven research centers in Korea. In March 2023, the hospital was ranked 91st among over 2,300 hospitals in the world.

Banpo Station is a metro station on Seoul Subway Line 7 located in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Despite its name, the station is not located in Banpo-dong, but instead in Jamwon. It has 6 entrances that they are all right side entrance and they have screen doors right before entering the train. It takes 4~8 minutes between 2 trains and next stations are Nonhyeon and Seoul Express Bus Terminal. It is only 500m long between Banpo station and two other Stations next to it. The station number is 733.

Sinsa station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3. It is located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. In 2022, it will interchange with the Shinbundang Line, and will serve as the northern terminus of the Wirye–Sinsa Line when it is opened in 2025.

Jamwon Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3. It is located in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Sapyeong Station is a railway station on Line 9 of the Seoul Subway.

The National Library of Korea (Korean: 국립중앙도서관) is located in the Seocho District of Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1945. It houses over 10 million volumes, including over 1,134,000 foreign books and some of the National Treasures of South Korea.

Acrovista (Korean: 아크로비스타) is a residential apartment building in Seocho District, Seoul, South Korea. It was completed in June 2004, and became open to move-ins on June 25, 2004. It is a 37-story building with 757 apartments and 82 officetels. It has been described as a luxury apartment. The building is located on the former site of the Sampoong Department Store, which collapsed in 1995. The plot of land had gone up for auction in November 1996, and was purchased by the company Daesang Group. That company assumed control of the land in August 1999. Acrovista's construction was handled by company DL E&C. As of 2025, former South Korean first lady Kim Keon-hee, wife of president Yoon Suk Yeol, owns a 164 m2 (1,770 sq ft) apartment in the building. The apartment drew public attention after Yoon's 2024 impeachment was confirmed in 2025, and Yoon was required to move out of his presidential residence in Hannam-dong. As of April 7, 2025, it is expected that Yoon and Kim will move back into Acrovista. Several interviewed residents of Acrovista expressed dissatisfaction with the first couple's return. Some expressed disappointment with Yoon's 2024 declaration of martial law that caused his impeachment, others worried about disruption to their daily lives, and others worried that Yoon's presence would affect the value of their property. During Yoon's impeachment trials, gatherings near the apartment's entrance were prohibited by police.

On June 29, 1995, the Sampoong Department Store in Seoul, South Korea collapsed due to a structural failure. The collapse killed 502 people and injured 937, making it the largest peacetime disaster in South Korean history. It was the deadliest non-deliberate modern building collapse until the 2013 Dhaka garment factory collapse in Bangladesh.Construction on the building commenced in 1987 and was completed in 1990. The company initially contracted to build the structure withdrew after the chairman of Sampoong Group's construction division, Lee Joon, demanded changes to the concrete support columns that introduced structural concerns. Joon ultimately used his own company to complete construction. Investigators blamed the collapse primarily on the column specifications which were incorrect for a flat-slab building design. Joon was found guilty of criminal negligence and sentenced to 10.5 years in prison.

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea (Korean: 대한민국학술원), is the senior national organization of distinguished Korean scientists and scholars. It was founded to promote learning and research in all areas of sciences by conferring membership and preferential treatment to those who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of sciences and learning. The Academy consists of 150 Fellows who are selected by their peers for their contributions to the sciences and education.

Sinbanpo Station is a railway station on Line 9 of the Seoul Subway.

Dulwich College Seoul (DCSL; Korean: 덜위치칼리지서울영국학교) is a British international school in Banpo-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, South Korea. Affiliated with Dulwich College, it serves students from nursery (age 3) to Year 13 (age 18; US Grade 12). It was established in 2010, opening on 20 August that year. There are currently around 700 students and 200 staff in the school. It is adjacent to Gangnam. In addition it is in proximity to Seorae Village and Hannam-dong, each being a five-minute and fifteen minute car drive away. The shinbanpo subway station is also a two-minute walk from campus. The main building has seven floors, five above ground. It also has a pool. There is an underground paid parking area shared with a local church. The building has undergone many renovations. The school has had three heads of school: Daryl Orchard (2010–2014), Graeme Salt (2014–2020), Gudmundur Hegner Jonsson (2020–2024) and Alison Derbyshire (2024-)
