Lebanon Township is the northernmost township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 6,195, a decrease of 393 (−6.0%) from the 2010 census count of 6,588, which in turn reflected an increase of 772 (+13.3%) from the 5,816 counted in the 2000 census.Located within the Raritan Valley region, the township is situated in the northernmost part of Hunterdon County bordering both Morris and Warren counties. When Lebanon Township was created in 1731, its original borders extended from the Musconetcong River to Readington Township.

Spruce Run is a tributary of the Raritan River in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It starts from the southwestern slope of Schooley's Mountain, northeast of Anthony in Lebanon Township, and flows southwest toward Glen Gardner. It then flows south toward Clinton, where it joins the South Branch Raritan River. The Mulhockaway Creek is a tributary and flows from Jug Mountain. The southern slopes of the Musconetcong Mountain drain into the Spruce Run.

The Lebanon Township Schools is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Lebanon Township, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising two schools, had an enrollment of 624 students and 64.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Starting in the 2018–19 school year, middle school students in grades 6 through 8 from the Hampton School District will attend Woodglen School on a tuition basis as part of a sending/receiving relationship.Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend Voorhees High School, which also serves students from Califon, Glen Gardner, Hampton, High Bridge and Tewksbury Township. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 982 students and 83.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. The school is part of the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District, which also includes students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township who attend North Hunterdon High School in Annandale.

Schools in the district (with 2018–19 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Warren Hills Regional Middle School with 542 students in grades 7 and 8 (located in Washington Borough) and Warren Hills Regional High School with 1,205 students in grades 9 - 12 (located in Washington Township).

Anderson is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Mansfield Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States census. As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP's population was 306, a decrease of 36 (-10.5%) from the 342 enumerated at the 2010 census.

Penwell is an unincorporated community located within Lebanon Township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.Penwell is a community in the north of Lebanon Township that was also most northern settlement in Hunterdon County. It was known as Penwell dating back to 1866 and was named after the Penn Well Mills on the Musconetcong River. When the property of Sylvanus Hoffman was advertised for sale in 1886, the village was described as being on the Washington Turnpike (now Route 57) and his land "along a stream".The Miller Farmstead, nearby, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and includes a historic stone arch bridge over the Musconetcong River.

The Warren Hills AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Warren County, New Jersey. The Warren Hills region includes several small valleys formed by tributaries of the Delaware River. The valleys drain from northeast to southwest, and most vineyards in the area are planted on southeast-facing hill slopes. The region is primarily planted with French hybrid grapes. It has a hot-summer humid continental climate (Dfa) and is located in hardiness zones 6b and 7a.

Spruce Run Evangelical Lutheran Zion Church, also known as Spruce Run Lutheran Church, is located at 442 West Hill Road in the Spruce Run section of Lebanon Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The congregation is a member of the New Jersey Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The congregation was organized in 1774 by thirteen members who worshiped in the barn of Frederick Fritts in the summer, and in his home during the winter. Initially, services were conducted every four weeks, and were exclusively in German.In 1861, Spruce Run Lutheran Church was the site of the first convention of the New Jersey Synod of churches. The new Synod met there again in 1868.

Bunnvale is an unincorporated community located within Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.Bunnvale is located on County Route 513, approximately 4 mi (6.4 km) northwest of Lebanon Borough. The Raritan River and the Ken Lockwood Gorge Wildlife Management Area are located east of Bunnvale.

The Miller Farmstead is a historic district encompassing the main farm complex on Route 57, at Watters Road, in Mansfield Township, Warren County, New Jersey and extending into Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County. The farmstead is near the community of Penwell and overlooks the Musconetcong River, arranged linearly along the upper edge of the river's flood plain. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 11, 1989, for its significance in agriculture, architecture, and transportation from 1830 to 1924. The listing is a 108 acres (44 ha) area that includes eight contributing buildings, seven contributing structures, and a contributing site.The main farmhouse, at the intersection of Route 57 and Watters Road, shows Greek Revival style. It was likely built in the 1830s or 1840s. One of the contributing structures is a triple-arch stone bridge, the Old Turnpike Road over Musconetcong River bridge. The bridge spans into Lebanon Township in Hunterdon County. It was built in 1860 by J.C. Miller and J.A. Skinner, according to a marble plaque on one of the sidewalls.
