The Prime Minister's Office (PMO; Malay: Jabatan Perdana Menteri, JPM) is the leading and largest cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei. It serves as the immediate office of the country's prime minister, as well as oversees several key government departments. It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984, with Hassanal Bolkiah, the current Sultan of Brunei, being the first and only Prime Minister to date. The leadership also consists of a Senior Minister (Menteri Kanan), introduced in 2005 and has since been held by the Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, a Special Advisor (Penasihat Khas) to His Majesty, as well as in-house ministers and deputy ministers. The ministry is located in Bandar Seri Begawan with two headquarters, one located at Istana Nurul Iman and another at a building at Jalan Perdana Menteri.

The Forestry Department (Malay: Jabatan Perhutanan; Jawi: جابتن ڤرهوتنن), also referred to as the Forest Department, is a department overseen by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT). Through the department practices sustainable forest management to ensure that forest resources can be used and utilized continuously in addition to balancing environmental, economic and social interests as well as the well-being of the people and the country.

The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT; Malay: Kementerian Sumber-Sumber Utama dan Pelancongan, KSSUP) is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which oversees agriculture, fishing, forestry and tourism in the country. It is currently led by a minister and the incumbent is Abdul Manaf Metussin, who took office since 7 June 2022. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Ministry of Defence Brunei Darussalam (Malay: Kementerian Pertahanan), officially abbreviated as MinDef, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Government of Brunei. It is responsible for the country's national security and military forces, the latter collectively known as the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF); Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, (ABDB). It is Brunei's ministry of defence; and was established on 1 January 1984 (1984-01-01), when Brunei Darussalam achieved independence from the United Kingdom. The Ministry of Defence leadership presently consists of a minister (First minister); its incumbent is the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who is also the Supreme Commander of the RBAF / ABDB. A deputy minister (Second minister) is second-in-command at the MinDef. The Ministry of Defence is headquartered within Bolkiah Garrison in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei Darussalam, in the Brunei-Muara District. In late 1986, the Ministry of Defence was restructured and reorganised; it currently manages the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Unit, and also the Gurkha Reserve Unit. The ministry is sub-divided into two divisions, Civilian Staff (headed by a Permanent Secretary) and Military Staff (headed by Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces).

Bolkiah Garrison (Malay: Bolkiah Garison) also referred to as Bolkiah Camp from its original name, is one of the military bases in Mukim Berakas 'A', Bandar Seri Begawan. It contains the main building for the Ministry of Defence Brunei Darussalam (MinDef; Kementerian Pertahanan), and is also the headquarters of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF; Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, ABDB). International defence collaborations, meetings and bilateral exercises are planned and considered within this military base.

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC; Malay: Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi), formerly known as the Ministry of Communications (Kementerian Perhubungan), is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which oversees civil aviation, land and maritime transport, telecommunications and meteorology in the country. It is currently led by a minister and the incumbent is Pengiran Shamhary Pengiran Mustapha, who took office since 7 June 2022. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Ministry of Health (MOH or MoH; Malay: Kementerian Kesihatan) is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which oversees the health system in the country. It is currently led by a minister and the incumbent is Mohd Isham Jaafar, who took office since 1 December 2017. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Old Airport (Malay: Lapangan Terbang Lama) is an area in Berakas, near the city of Bandar Seri Begawan, in the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. It is the common name given to the former site of the Brunei Airport (hence the name), and is now the location of several government offices.

The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), Malay: Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat (JBP), Jawi: جابتن بومبا دان ڤڽلامت, also known as Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD), (Malay: Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Brunei – JBPB) is a government agency of Brunei Darussalam, responsible for firefighting, animal rescue, and technical rescue. Bomba is a Malay word derived from the Portuguese bombeiros, which means 'firefighters'. The department's main headquarters are located at Bandar Seri Begawan, in the Brunei-Muara District of the Sultanate of Brunei. It is the primary and main public service firefighting force in Brunei, though there are other firefighting units run by other government agencies. Furthermore, there are additional private firefighting entities, such as the BSP Fire and Emergency Response service operated by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), which own fire stations (along with firefighting vehicles and emergency ambulances) located at Anduki Airfield and Panaga, Belait District. Moreover, they also owned a single Sikorsky S-92 for search and rescue (SaR) operations.995 is the emergency telephone number used to contact the Fire and Rescue service in Brunei.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA or MoRA; Malay: Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama, KHEU) is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which is responsible for the propagation of Islam and its upholding as the state religion, as well as oversees the Islamic religious education in the country. It is currently led by a minister and a deputy minister, whereby the incumbents are Badaruddin Othman and Pengiran Mohd Tashim Pengiran Hassan respectively. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.
