Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners is a Roman Catholic church in Rathmines, Dublin built in 1854 in the "Greek style". The church was originally designed by Patrick Byrne and later extended by William Henry Byrne who added a portico and pediment.The church was destroyed in January 1920 by a fire but was rebuilt and reopened by 1922.

Mount Pleasant Square is a Georgian garden square on the border of Rathmines and Ranelagh, in the city of Dublin, Ireland. It is about a twenty-five minute walk from Grafton Street. Completed in 1834, the square is widely celebrated for its elegance and quiet charm. In her article in The Georgian Squares of Dublin, Susan Roundtree writes: "It has justifiably been described as one of the most beautiful early 19th-century squares in Dublin." In the 24 March 1978 edition of In Dublin magazine, Gordon Lynch wrote, "The recently face-lifted Mount Pleasant Square, which is protected by a preservation order, is the only curved square in Dublin, if such a thing is possible."There are 56 terraced houses on three sides of a central open space, now housing a tennis club and a small public park. The north and south sides are crescents rather than typical borders of a square. About half of the houses are occupied by young families, while several remain in apartments. Homes on the west side have south-west facing back gardens, there is a Victorian Era post-box on the south-west corner of the square, and 24-hour disc parking is enforced.

Belgrave Square is a residential Victorian square in D6, Dublin, located off of Castlewood Avenue between Rathmines and Ranelagh. There is a small playground and old large chestnut trees, along with a rolling grassy area. Belgrave Square has hosted events, musical performances, and recreational outings.

Rathmines College is an educational institution in Rathmines, Dublin that offers various Further Education courses in areas such as accounting, business, computing, media studies, office administration etc. It has two campuses in Rathmines; in the former Rathmines Town Hall and at 28-9 Leinster Road. It operates under the patronage of the City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB), known as the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee (CDVEC) prior to 2013. Rathmines College offers qualifications at levels 5 and 6 on Ireland's National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). These courses are accredited by the Further Education and Training Awards Council ("FETAC"), Quality and Qualifications Ireland ("QQI") or by the Business and Technology Education Council ("BTEC"). Among its Accounting Programmes are the Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) Certificate, Diploma and Apprenticeship courses, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Accounting Technician and the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business ACCA Award. The college also offers a one-year repeat leaving certificate course.

Rathmines Town Hall (Irish: Halla an Bhaile Ráth Maonais) is a municipal building in Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland. The building currently accommodates Rathmines College of Further Education.

The Kodak Building in an Art Deco building in the inner suburb of Rathmines in Dublin, Ireland. It was designed by architects Donnelly, Moore and Keatinge in 1930 and was built in 1932. It was originally the warehouse for Kodak Ireland and now houses an advertising agency and other businesses.

Rathmines (Irish: Ráth Maonais, meaning 'ringfort of Maonas') is an affluent inner suburb on the Southside of Dublin in Ireland. It lies three kilometres south of the city centre. It begins at the southern side of the Grand Canal and stretches along the Rathmines Road as far as Rathgar to the south, Ranelagh to the east, and Harold's Cross to the west. It is situated in the city's D06 postal district. Rathmines is a commercial and social hub and is well known across Ireland as "flatland"—an area that has provided rented accommodation to newly arrived junior civil servants and third level students from outside the city since the 1930s. In more recent times, Rathmines has diversified its housing stock and many houses have been gentrified. Rathmines gained a reputation as a "Dublin Belgravia" in the 19th Century.

The Manor of St. Sepulchre (also known as the Archbishop's Liberty) was one of several manors, or liberties, that existed in Dublin, Ireland since the arrival of the Anglo-Normans in the 12th century. They were townlands united to the city, but still preserving their own jurisdiction. St. Sepulchre's was under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Dublin, although from time to time the Dublin city government claimed ownership of it.

Saint Ultan's Children's Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Leanaí Naomh Ultan) was a paediatric hospital in Dublin, Ireland. It was named after Ultan of Ardbraccan, patron saint of paediatricians.

Saint Mary's College C.S.Sp. (Congregatio Sancti Spiritus) is a voluntary boys' primary and secondary school run by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit and located in Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland. The school was founded in 1890, closed in 1916, and then reopened in 1926. The school colours are blue and white.

Ranelagh ( RAN-ə-lə, locally REN-; Irish: Raghnallach) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Green Line from St Stephen's Green station to Sandyford. It provides access to the urban villages of Ranelagh and Rathmines. The Green Line re-uses the alignment of the Harcourt Street railway line, which closed in 1958. The Luas stop at Ranelagh is on a stretch of track where the line crosses Ranelagh Road on a viaduct. The Harcourt Street line did not have a station here (a station called Ranelagh and Rathmines was situated further down the line, at the location of the present Beechwood Luas stop). The bridge over Ranelagh Road consists of a steel deck constructed in 2004, and the existing stone abutments. Ranelagh is one of few Luas stops to have a station building of sorts - a two-storey structure located on Ranelagh Road. The building has a wide entrance, above which is a sign showing the stop's name in the same style as on the platform signs. Inside, the building has little more than tiled steps leading to both platforms. A lift also provides step-free access from the street to the southbound platform. A section of the building is used as a retail unit and is currently occupied by a restaurant. The platforms at Ranelagh are located directly above Ranelagh Road and have the benches, ticket machines, shelters, and displays common to all Luas stops. Ranelagh is also served by Dublin Bus routes 11, 18, 44, 44B and 61.
