KGIA-LP (92.9 FM) was a low-power FM radio station that broadcast a Christian radio format. Licensed to Grand Island, in the U.S. state of Nebraska, it served the Grand Island-Kearney area. The station was owned by Grand Island Adventist Educational Radio. It was affiliated with Radio 74 Internationale, an international religious broadcasting network.

Central Nebraska Regional Airport (IATA: GRI, ICAO: KGRI, FAA LID: GRI) is three miles northeast of Grand Island, in Hall County, Nebraska. It is owned by the Hall County Airport Authority. The airport sees two airlines, Allegiant Air which flies independently and American Eagle which is subsidized by the federal Essential Air Service program. In 2016 the airport had 68,879 passenger boardings (enplanements), a 6.6% increase from the 64,602 enplanements in 2015. The airport had 7,961 enplanements in calendar year 2008, 20,136 in 2009 and 37,101 in 2010.The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a nonhub primary airport based on enplanements in 2016 (over 10,000 per year).

Grand Island Army Airfield (IATA: GRI, ICAO: KGRI, FAA LID: GRI) was a United States Army Air Forces airfield which operated from 1942 to 1946. After its closure, the base was reopened as Central Nebraska Regional Airport.

C.W. Burdick Power Plant is a six-unit 187.5 MW natural gas/fuel oil power plant located in Grand Island, Nebraska. The facility is owned and operated by the City of Grand Island. It serves as a backup to the city's primary generating station, Platte Generating Station. From 1906 to 1963, the Pine Street Station continued to supply most of Grand Island's electric power. In 1957, the C. W. Burdick station located on South Cherry and Bischeld streets started to take over for the aging Pine Street Station and to meet Grand Island's growing demand for electricity. Continued increases in electrical use and limited supplies of natural gas and oil forced the city to build another power plant. In 2017 the C. W. Burdick station was decommissioned. The demolition and removal process is expected to be completed by July 2023.

Evangelische Lutherische Dreienigkeit Kirche, also known as the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Complex, is a historic church building in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1894-1896 by two German immigrants, Jacob and William Scheffel. Others on the building committee were E. Wiederaenders, F. Pribnow, J. Ruff, J. Schinkel and F. Eggers. The congregation served pioneers from Germany. The building was designed in the Romanesque Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 1, 1986.

Grand Island station, otherwise known as the Burlington Railroad Depot in Grand Island, Nebraska is a historic railroad station which served trains of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (Burlington Route). The Prairie style station was constructed in 1911. It was likely designed by Walter T. Krausch, who designed many CB&Q depots, however the documentation of the depot was lost in a 1922 fire. In 1940, the station had three daily trains per direction. Railcar service was provided daily as far as Lincoln and Ravenna while The Adventureland and The General Custer each ran daily service from Kansas City to Billings via Grand Island. By 1947, the railcar service had ended and by May 1965, only one Kansas City to Billings train remained. Passenger service ended completely in 1969. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 2014.

Hall County Courthouse is a historic building in Grand Island, Nebraska, and the courthouse for Hall County, Nebraska. When it was built in 1901–1904, it replaced a former courthouse at another location. It was designed in the Beaux Arts style by architect Thomas Rogers Kimball. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 15, 1977.

The Hotel Yancey in Grand Island, Nebraska, also known as The Yancey Motor Inn, is an eleven-story building built during 1917-1923 that remained, in 1982, the tallest building in the city. Its design reflects Renaissance Revival architecture.In 1982 it was under renovation that convert hotel rooms of its upper nine floors into 57 residential condo units.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Federal Building, Grand Island, Nebraska is a historic post office, federal office and courthouse building located at Grand Island in Hall County, Nebraska. It is no longer used as a courthouse for the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.

The Lee Huff Apartment Complex is a building in Grand Island, Nebraska. Two flats and the garage were built in 1920–1921, and the apartment complex was completed by Paul Sothman in 1928. It was designed in the Renaissance Revival style by architect James Allen. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 1, 1994.

Fonner Park is a thoroughbred horse racing facility located in Grand Island, Nebraska. Co-located with Eihusen Arena and the grounds of the Nebraska State Fair, it is named after its original land owner August L. Fonner, and first held races in 1954.

The Grand Island Carnegie Library is a historic building in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1903 as one of several Carnegie libraries in Nebraska, and it was the first public library in Grand Island. Its construction cost $19,000. The building was the first library It was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 2, 1975.The library was one in a string of thousands that Carnegie funded across the country in an effort to restore Carnegie's image which was tarnished after the Johnstown Flood. Carnegie's pursuit to restore his name wasn't just confined to the building of libraries like that in Grand Island; he also funded the building of the Carnegie Hall In New York, NY.
