Bullet Hill School

The Southbury Historic District No. 1 encompasses a well-preserved 19th-century village landscape along Main Street North (United States Route 6) in Southbury, Connecticut. This area includes the historic town center of Southbury, and is part of a larger streetscape extending into neighboring Woodbury, where it continues in the Woodbury Historic District No. 2. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The town is part of the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region. Southbury comprises sprawling rural country areas, suburban neighborhoods, and historic districts. It is a short distance from major business and commercial centers, and is within 65 miles (105 km) of New York City and 35 miles (56 km) of Hartford, the capital of Connecticut. Southbury is the only community in the country with the name "Southbury", which is why the town seal reads Unica Unaque, meaning "The One and Only."

The Aaron Bronson House is a historic house at 846 Southford Road in Southbury, Connecticut. Built in around the year 1785, it is a good local example of a Colonial-style Cape, noted for its particularly fine and well-preserved interior. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Woodbury Historic District No. 2 encompasses a linear rural-residential area of southern Woodbury, Connecticut. It extends along the town's Main Street (United States Route 6), from the town line with Southbury in the south to the South Pomperaug Avenue junction in the north. It contains some of the town's finest examples of 18th and early 19th-century residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Sanford Road Historic District encompasses a small cluster of late 18th and early 19th-century farmsteads on Sanford Road in Southbury, Connecticut. The two farmhouses on the property are both associated with the locally prominent Stiles family, and typify Southbury's rural architecture of the period. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The South Britain Historic District encompasses the core of the unincorporated village of South Britain in Southbury, Connecticut, United States. The village arose in the 18th century as an industrial center serving the surrounding agricultural community, powered by the Pomperaug River, and rivalled the town center of Southbury in importance. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Reuben Curtiss House is a historic house at 1770 Bucks Hill Road in Southbury, Connecticut. With a construction and alteration history dating from the late 18th to 20th centuries, the house is one of Southbury's finest examples of residential Greek Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Audubon Center at Bent of the River is a 700-acre preserve in Southbury, Connecticut. It is located off South Britain Road and is open year-round. The Center's mission is to conserve land and promote biodiversity. Its website states "When Mrs. Althea Clark bequeathed Bent of the River farm to National Audubon Society, she left explicit instructions about its use for education and the maintenance of the land— such as preserving it for native flora and fauna and having no trail blazes or interpretive signs. She wanted the Bent to be kept in a state of "mild wildness." The property features about 15 miles of trails through fields, forests, shrub and grasslands along the Pomperaug River, and is considered to be an excellent site for bird watching. The property includes a brick house named the Clark House and a mid-19th century barn used for nature education programs and events.

The William Hurd House is a historic house at 327 Hulls Hill Road in Southbury, Connecticut. Built in the late 18th century and enlarged about 1820, it is a good local example of Federal period architecture, with well-preserved outbuildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The David Sherman House is a historic house on Middle Quarter Road in Woodbury, Connecticut. Built about 1760, it is a well-preserved example of Colonial architecture. In 1781, David Sherman is reported to have hosted a ball for officers of the French Army of the Comte de Rochambeau during their march across Connecticut. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Russian Village Historic District, also known as Churaevka (Russian: Чураевка), is a historic summer colony founded by George Grebenstchikoff and Ilya Tolstoy in Southbury, Connecticut. The colony was founded in the 1920s by Russian emigres, and retains distinctive Russian touches in the architecture of its houses, as well as a small chapel designed by Nicholas Roerich. The colony was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
