Chancellor House is a law office building situated at 25 Fox Street, Ferreirasdorp, Johannesburg, that once housed the Mandela and Tambo law firm of Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo. It is a national heritage site. The building was due to be bought by the Johannesburg Heritage Trust in 2004 and developed into a tourist destination, with R300 000 earmarked for the construction of a visitor center.As of 2008, however, no purchase had been consummated and the building reportedly continued to fall into ruin.Full restoration of the building was completed in May, 2011.

London House is a building in the city of Johannesburg constructed by the firm of Emily and Williamson. The Application for Approval of Plans was received by the City Engineer's Department on 18 March 1935 and approved ten months later 20 January 1936. The building was completed on 6 March 1936 as entered on the valuation roll, meaning it took two months to complete the building or construction to the building was started without approval of plans.

The Rand Water Board was established in 1903, tasked with supplying the water needed to support mining activities and sanitary living conditions for those living in the developing urban area of Johannesburg. The Rand Water Board Building extension to the Fraser Street offices was the third in a series of buildings owned and occupied by the Rand Water Board (RWB) of Johannesburg before the relocation to large purpose built modern premises in Rietvlei. Ferreirasdorp (or Ferreirastown) is an inner-city suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. First known as Ferreira's Camp (Afrikaans: Ferreiraskamp) and later Ferreira's Township, it is the oldest part of Johannesburg. Sometimes referred to as the "cradle of Johannesburg", it is where the first gold diggings started, and where the first diggers initially settled. The city grew around the mining camp in the Ferreirasdorp area, and Johannesburg’s Main Street developed from a rough track where the present Albert Street led off towards Ferreira’s Camp.The suburb is named after Colonel Ignatius Ferreira, leader of the original group of diggers who settled in this area in 1886.

The Consolidated Building, or ‘Johnnies’ as it became affectionately known, is an office building situated in the Marshalltown district of Johannesburg, on stands 149, 150 and 152 at 84/86 Fox Street and 29/31 Harrison Street. In 1895, before the Consolidated Building was built, these stands were home to the Jewish Social Club and in 1897, Johannesburg Waterworks had its offices there. The Consolidated Building was originally owned by Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Corporation Ltd. The Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Corporation was started as a family business by Barnett (Barney) Isaacs and his older brother Harry who later changed their surname to Barnato. Barney Barnato subsequently became a household name in South Africa and in international financial circles. The Corporation was responsible for the investments of many mining firms and collieries in South Africa.
