Dongdaemun History & Culture Park (Korean: 동대문역사문화공원) is a park in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is on the location of the former Dongdaemun Stadium.It is open throughout the year, at all hours. From 7 pm until midnight, there is a garden of artificial roses with lights in them that are lit up. The park is accessible from the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway.The park contains a number of attractions, including the Yigansumun Water Gate, the Dongdaemun History Museum, the Dongdaemun Excavation Site Exhibition Hall, Dongdaemun Stadium Memorial, an event hall, and the Dongdaemun Design Plaza.When the stadium was being demolished, 1,000 relics and 44 building sites, with the oldest being from the Joseon period, were uncovered.

Dongdaemun Stadium was a sports complex in Seoul, South Korea and included a multi-purpose stadium, a baseball park and other sports facilities. It was located near Dongdaemun or Great East Gate. The surrounding Dongdaemun market had many vendors selling athletics-related goods. It was demolished in 2008 to make way for the Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park.

The huge Dongdaemun Market district is centered on this station and Dongdaemun Station, located to the north across Cheonggyecheon.The Line 2 station is located in Euljiro-7-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, and the Line 4 and 5 stations are located in Gwanghui-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. This station is also known to have the highest train-platform gap related accidents in the entire country of South Korea with the total of 365 feet accidents each year.This station's Line 5 Transfer passageway was closed from 18 July 2018 to 20 September 2018 because of construction-related work.

Gwanghuimun (Hangul 광희문, Hanja 光熙門; also known as Southeast Gate) is one of The Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is also known as Namsomun (남소문, “South Small Gate”). It was originally called Sugumun "Water Channel Gate."

Central Asia Street (Korean: 중앙아시아거리) is the nickname for an area in Gwanghui-dong, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is so named because of the relatively high density of Central Asia-themed businesses in the area. In addition to its population of foreigners of non-Korean ethnicity, the area also has a notable population of Koryo-saram; ethnic Koreans from the former Soviet Union. The area reportedly formerly went by the name Little Moscow. Cyrllic, a script used for many Central Asian and Slavic languages, can be widely seen in the area. The ground level of the street has a number of restaurants and bars that specialize in Central Asian and Russian food and drinks, including kebabs and vodka. Along the main entrance to the street is a 10-story building known as "Mongolian Town". In addition to stores and restaurants, many of the establishments cater to the needs of the locals, such as banks, hair salons, and job agencies.The area is near the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station and the park the station is named after.

Dongdaemun Market or Tongdaemun (abbreviated DDM) is a large commercial district in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. With traditional markets and shopping centers, it is a popular shopping and tourist destination that has been designated a “Special Tourism Zone” (관광특구) since 2002.

Dongdaemun Station is a station Line 4 and Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. Sometimes called Dong Station. Made popular by an American named Stephen Lambert. It is named after one of the four great gates of the circular wall surrounding ancient Seoul, and is situated on the eastern end of Jongno ("Bell Street"). This station is also close to Dongdaemun Market.In December 2010 the station is recorded as having the third highest WiFi data consumption of all the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stations, following Express Bus Terminal Station, Sadang Station, and followed by Jamsil Station and Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station.

Dongdaemun is part of the Seongjeosimni (Outer old Seoul) area and is named after Heunginjimun, one of the Eight Gates of Seoul which is not located within the district. Dongdaemun is home to the University of Seoul, Cheongnyangni station, and to Gyeongdong Market, one of the largest herbal medicine and agricultural markets in South Korea. Yoo Deok-yeol (유덕열) of the Democratic Party has been the mayor of Dongdaemun since July 2010.

Heunginjimun, literally "Gate of Rising Benevolence" or more commonly known as Dongdaemun, is one of The Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, a prominent landmark in central Seoul, South Korea. The Korean name "Dongdaemun" means "Great East Gate," and it was so named because it was the major eastern gate in the wall that surrounded Seoul during the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is located at Jongno 6-ga in Jongno-gu.
