Al Wakra station (Arabic: الوكرة) is the southern terminus of the Doha Metro's Red Line. It serves Al Wakrah Municipality, namely Al Wakrah City and Al Wukair.

Al Wakrah Municipality (also spelled Al Wakra Municipality; Arabic: بلدية الوكرة Baladīyat al-Wakrah) is a municipality of Qatar located bordered by the municipalities of Doha and Al Rayyan. The municipal seat is Al Wakrah city.

Al Wakrah (Arabic: الوكرة, romanized: al-Wakra) is the capital city of the Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. Al Wakrah's eastern edge is the shores of the Persian Gulf and Qatar's capital Doha is situated to the city's immediate north. Governed by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, it was originally a small fishing and pearling village. Over the years, it evolved into a small city with a population of more than 80,000 and is currently considered to be the second-largest city in Qatar.It has undergone extensive development and growth since the turn of the 21st century while also being steadily encroached on by rapidly expanding Doha from the north. Notable milestones in the city's modern history include the May 2019 inauguration of Al Janoub Stadium, a venue for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the opening of Al Wakrah Heritage Village in 2016, the Al Wakrah Main Road Project which was set to be completed in 2020, and the city's integration into the Doha Metro's Red Line.

The Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani Stadium (Arabic: ملعب سعود بن عبدالرحمن), also known as Al-Wakrah SC Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home venue of Al-Wakrah Sports Club. The stadium has a capacity of 12,000 seats.A new stadium named Al Janoub Stadium is being built in the vicinity in time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will be used as Al-Wakrah Sports Club’s home, after the world cup.During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the site was used as the training base for England.

Free Zone station is a station of the Doha Metro's Red Line. It serves the Al Wakrah Municipality, namely Al Wakrah City, Ras Abu Fontas and Barwa Village. It is located near Airforce Interchange, which is the crossing of F Ring Road and Al Wakrah Road.

Al Meshaf (Arabic: المشاف) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Wakrah.In the 2015 census, it was listed as a district of zone no. 91 which has a population of 165,214 and also includes Al Wukair and Al Thumama.It borders Al Wakrah to the east and Al Wukair to the southwest.

Doha International Air Base (Doha IAB) is a airbase of the Qatar Emiri Air Force located at the Doha International Airport, Doha, Qatar which operated officially from 1991 to 1993 and from 1996. The base was also used by the United States Armed Forces as Camp Snoopy.

Al-Janoub Stadium (Arabic: استاد الجنوب, romanized: ʾIstād al-Janūb, lit. 'Stadium of the South'), formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium (Arabic: استاد الوكرة), is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar that was inaugurated on 16 May 2019. This was the second among the eight stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after the renovation of Khalifa International Stadium. It was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) together with the firms AECOM and Jain and Partners of Dubai.The stadium features a curvilinear postmodernist and neo-futurist design. The appearance of the roof was inspired by the sails of traditional Dhow boats, used by pearl divers from the region, weaving through currents of the Persian Gulf.It is the official headquartes of the football club Al-Wakrah SC, where the matches of the Qatar Stars League will be held. The capacity of the stadium is 20,000, previously it was 40,000 before the World Cup.The stadium is located about 22 km south of Doha.

Oqba Ibn Nafie station is a station on Doha Metro's Red Line and serves Old Airport district in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
