Onalaska is a city in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 18,803 at the 2020 census. It borders the larger La Crosse, Wisconsin, and is a part of the La Crosse-Onalaska, WI-MN Metropolitan Area.Onalaska is built on a slightly elevated ridge above the Black River. Natural areas include both river bottom land and high, heavily wooded, scenic bluffs. A man-made reservoir at the city's western edge is known as Lake Onalaska. Onalaska is known as "The Sunfish Capital of the World."

The La Crosse County School of Agriculture and Domestic Economy was a historic structure in Onalaska, Wisconsin. It was designed by architects Parkinson & Dockendorff from La Crosse, Wisconsin. It opened in 1909 as a school offering instruction in agriculture and domestic science. The school closed in 1925. The building has also been known as the Onalaska High School Annex. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The building was demolished in 1989.

It is the sixth busiest of eight commercial airports in Wisconsin in terms of passengers served.

Located on the city's north side, the 240,000 square foot school is situated on a 32-acre site in the La Crosse River Valley. The school is named after the street address of its original location, which had been named after General John A. Logan. La Crosse Logan consistently scores among the top high schools in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and is nationally recognized for its student academic achievements and college readiness scores. The school was visited by President George W. Bush in 2002, as part of the Department of Education's Tour Across America. In 2014 U.S. News & World Report ranked Logan 29th among Wisconsin's high schools, earning a silver medal. As of 2022, it is ranked 79th in Wisconsin.
