Stansbury Hall (West Virginia University)

Elizabeth Moore Hall is a historic women's physical education building associated with West Virginia University and located in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built between 1926 and 1928, and is a three-story, red brick building with Georgian Revival detailing. An addition was completed in 1962. It has a slate covered gable roof. The front facade features five arches supported by six Doric order columns. It also has balconies with cast iron balustrades. The building is named for Elizabeth Moore, principal of Woodburn Female Seminary from 1865 to 1866.The building currently houses the offices for the dean of students and the Dance Program in the School of Theatre & Dance. With offices in the front part of the building, the back section is over six stories tall and has three levels: a swimming pool, a gymnasium (G1), and a dance studio (210). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Purinton House is a historic home associated with the West Virginia University and located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built in 1904, and is a 2+1⁄2-story masonry dwelling with Classical Revival and Colonial Revival style features. It features a large wraparound porch whose hip roof is supported by Ionic order columns. The porch roof is topped by a balustrade. The roof is topped by a balustraded deck and widow's walk. It served as the on-campus residence for university presidents from 1905 to 1967. On November 2, 1911, President William Howard Taft delivered the address "World Wide Speech," from the front porch of Purinton House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The WVU Reed College of Media was one of the sixteen colleges and schools at West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia. It is currently housed in Martin Hall.

Stewart Hall is a historic library and administration building associated with the West Virginia University and located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built between 1900 and 1902, and consists of a gabled central block, a 2 1/2 story gabled entrance pavilion, and a monumental octagonal tower. It is built of reinforced concrete and coursed Amherst sandstone blocks and is in the Romanesque Revival style. The interior features a two-story, arcaded rotunda. It housed the university library until 1931, when it became the Administration Building. It was renamed in the 1970s in honor of Irvin Stewart, president of the University from 1946 to 1958.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The John Chambers College of Business and Economics is the business school of West Virginia University, a state university located in Morgantown in the U.S. State of West Virginia. The college building is in the downtown campus of the university. The college offers ten undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) programs and one Bachelor of Science in Economics program, seven master programs, and doctoral programs throughout its six departments.

Mountaineer Field, known as the "Jewel of the Mountains", was a football stadium located in downtown Morgantown, West Virginia. It was the home of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. The stadium, which cost approximately $740,000 to build, was located down the hill from Woodburn Hall, and bordered by Campus Drive to the north, University Avenue to the east, Woodburn and Chitwood Halls to the south, and eventually Beechurst Avenue on the west. It was built into the natural valley of the area, and was a square-cornered horseshoe. The stadium opened on September 27, 1924 with a 21–6 win against West Virginia Wesleyan College. It held 38,000 by the time it closed, after a 24–17 loss in the 1979 Backyard Brawl to archrival Pitt. Due to the cramped location, it could not be expanded, and infrastructure could not be improved. Thus, in 1980, a new Mountaineer Field was opened on the site of the Morgantown Country Club to the north of the Downtown (main) campus, on what has become the Health Sciences campus. The historic stadium was razed in 1987. The Life Sciences Building inhabits the area of the north stands, and Field Hall (formerly known as the Business and Economics building) inhabits the south. The former location of the playing field remains open as a field between the two buildings. At the southwestern corner, there is a horseshoe-shaped monument to the stadium that was erected in 2005.

The West Virginia & Regional History Center (WVRHC), is the largest archival collection housing documents and manuscripts involving West Virginia and the surrounding central Appalachian region. Because of name changes over the years, it is sometimes referred to as the "West Virginia Collection." The WVRHC is the Special Collections division of the WVU Libraries. According to the University, the Center holds over 36,000 linear feet of manuscripts, 100,000 books, 100,000 pamphlets, 1,200 newspaper titles, over 1 million photographs and prints, 5,000 maps, and 40,000 microfilms, as well as oral histories, films and folk music recordings. Through donations, the WVRHC provides access to and preserves information on the history and cultural aspects of West Virginia and the central Appalachian Region.

Oglebay Hall is a historic classroom building associated with the West Virginia University and located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built in 1918, and is a three-story, brick and concrete building with Classical Revival detailing. The front facade features four Doric order columns that support a pediment with a false, concrete railing and entablature with the building's name. It also has balconies with cast iron balustrades. It originally housed the university's College of Agriculture (until 1961) and represents the university's heritage as a land-grant institution. The building is named for industrialist and philanthropist Earl W. Oglebay, whose house at Wheeling, West Virginia is known as the Oglebay Mansion Museum.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The West Virginia University Libraries at West Virginia University consist of seven individual libraries located on various WVU campuses. The Downtown Campus library is on the WVU Downtown Campus. The Evansdale Library is located on the WVU's Evansdale campus. The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Library is located on WVU's Medical Campus. The George R. Farmer, Jr. Law Library is located on WVU's Law Campus. The West Virginia & Regional History Center is located on the Downtown Campus inside the Wise Library. Libraries not on the WVU campus include the Mary F. Shipper Library at Potomac State College in Keyser and the Beckley Library at the WVU Institute of Technology.

The Mountainlair, commonly called "the Lair" by students, is the three-floor student union building at West Virginia University. The current building dates to 1968 and replaced an earlier structure built in 1948. The Mountainlair is also the site of American sculptor Donald De Lue's 1971 statue The Mountaineer, a bronze representation of West Virginia University's Mountaineer mascot.

Woodburn Circle, also known as WVU Quadrangle, is part of the downtown campus of West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. The circle, in reality a quadrangle grouped around an oval path, is a historic and distinctive architectural assembly of three collegiate buildings, which evolved in the late 19th century. In chronological order these are Martin Hall, Woodburn Hall, and Chitwood Hall. The largest of the buildings, Woodburn Hall, has become the best known and is a symbol of the university. The circle's Martin Hall is West Virginia University's oldest campus building and was constructed in 1870 as University Hall, and renamed Martin Hall in 1889. The circle's centerpiece, what is now Woodburn Hall, was finished in 1876, under the name New Hall. The circle finally became complete with the addition of Chitwood hall in 1893. Woodburn Circle was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Stalnaker Hall, also known as Woman's Hall, is a historic dormitory building associated with the West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. Constructed in 1918, it is a three-story, brick building on a high basement, with Classical Revival detailing. Two-story additions were built between 1935 and 1939. The front facade features four Corinthian order columns that support a pediment with decorative concrete work. It was named for Elizabeth Stalnaker, professor of philosophy and psychology in the early 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
