Hans Ottesen House

Manti ( MAN-ty) is a city in and the county seat of Sanpete County, Utah, United States. The population was 3,276 at the 2010 United States Census.

The Manti Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 185 S. Main St. in Manti, Utah. The Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1881 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The church was designed by Salt Lake City architect Peter Van Houghton at no charge. It is a tall one-story building made of oolite stone. It has Gothic Revival details. It has a gable roof and a stone tower surmounted by a wooden belfry.

The Manti Tabernacle in Manti, Utah is a building built and used by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It no longer functions as a tabernacle but as a regular church building, making it one of three 19th-century Latter-day Saint buildings still used for weekly services. The other two are the Pine Valley chapel in Washington County, Utah, and the tabernacle in Bountiful, Utah. It was restored beginning in 2014, the exterior was to look as it did in 1879 and the chapel as it appeared after the 1921 remodel. The mural that hangs in the chapel is the same as that appearing in the Provo Utah Temple.

The Cox-Shoemaker-Parry House is a historic two-story house in Manti, Utah. It was built in 1858 by Orville Sutherland Cox, who converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Illinois, where he was baptized by Joseph Smith in 1839. Cox later served as the bishop of Bountiful, Utah, and he settled in Sanpete County in 1849. He became a counselor to Bishop John Lowery, Sr., in Manti, and he lived in this house with his three wives: Elvira Mills, Mary Allen, and Eliza J. Losee.The house, designed by Cox, is constructed of coursed ashlar cream-colored limestone. It has a plain entablature, and, on the west front of the house it has pedimented returns, which are suggestive of Greek Revival Style.The house was later purchased by Jezreel Shoemaker, a convert to the LDS Church who served as the mayor of Manti. It was later acquired by Edward L. Parry, a stonemason and immigrant from Wales who converted to the LDS Church and helped build the Salt Lake Temple, the St. George Tabernacle, and the Manti Utah Temple. Parry remodeled and expanded the house around 1880. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 4, 1982.The house displayed a Maple Leaf flag along with a U.S. one, in September 2012.

The Lewis and Clara Anderson House, at 542 S. Main in Manti, Utah, was built in 1896. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The listing included three contributing buildings.The residence is a two-story, brick building of a central-block-with-projecting-bays type. It is "an asymmetrically massed Victorian style house, with Queen Anne detailing and contrasting colors of brick and stone as decorative elements. The house is distinguished by its unusual massing and arrangement of wings and porches. A carriage house, built c.1920, a chicken coop, built c.1920, and a garage, built in 1996, are also located on the property. Mature trees, shrubs, lawn, and flowers are part of a fully landscaped yard."

The Manti Motor Company Building, also known as the Utah-Idaho Motor Company Building and Nell's Motor in Manti, Utah, was built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The building was designed by Lauritz Peder Miller.

The Poulsen-Hall House, at 90 S. 100 East in Manti, Utah, was built in 1876. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.Architecture: Gothic, Greek Revival, Temple Form It may also be known as the Niels C. & Jensene Poulsen House or the William T. & Dagmar P. Hall House.The house has been available for vacation rental.

The Manti National Guard Armory, at 50 E. 100 North in Manti, Utah was built in 1936-38 as a Works Progress Administration project. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.It is a two-story PWA Moderne-style, flat-roofed building.It was designed by Salt Lake City architect Niels P. Larsen, who also designed at least six other armories in Utah. Surviving, as of 1986, were the NRHP-listed Mount Pleasant National Guard Armory and ones in Nephi, Fillmore, and Spanish Fork (the latter was NRHP-listed in 1986, but was delisted in 1996, presumably after being demolished); ones in Logan and Cedar City had been demolished.

The Tuttle-Folsom House is a historic house in Manti, Utah. It was built in 1850, and later acquired by Luther T. Tuttle, the mayor of Manti who was also " a leading merchant, banker, livestock raiser and served four terms as a territorial legislator." From 1880 to 1890, it belonged to architect William Harrison Folsom, who designed the Manti Utah Temple among many other buildings, followed by John C. Witbeck and John E. Metcalf. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 21, 1977.It has an early stone saltbox-type addition, with same cornice detail as in the original portion of the house. There is only a minor break in the roofline, but an obvious break in the stonework of the abutting walls, with just a few interlocking stones.It is located at 195 W. 300 North, at the southeast corner of N. 200 West. A large addition was added on the north side of the house in 2012.

The Sanpete County Courthouse, at 160 N. Main St. in Manti, Utah, was built in 1935. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.It was built of oolite limestone in PWA Moderne style. It has a two-story central block with vertical window panels and two two-story wings with horizontal window panels.It was asserted to be "one of the best examples of the distinctive PWA Moderne architectural style in Utah."

The Francis Marion Jolley House is a historic house at 202 East 200 South in Manti, Utah. It was built around 1875 for Francis Marion Jolley, an immigrant from England who converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and settled in Manti in 1853. Jolley lived here with his wife Chelnecha, and he worked as a farmer and carpenter. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since October 14, 1980.Brick walls, three bricks thick, two of adobe and one of fired brick, continue all the way up to top of four dormer windows in second floor, centered above window-door-window-window arrangement on first floor. Main portion is 34 by 18 feet (10.4 m × 5.5 m) in plan. Small adobe room extending out from rear probably predates the main portion.The house faces west on a southeast corner, and has address 201 S. 200 East.

The John Patten House is a historic two-story house in Manti, Utah. It was built with limestone in 1854 by John Patten, a native of Fairplay, Indiana who converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1830s with his family and relocated to Utah in 1850. Patten had two sons and three daughters with his first wife Candace Smith. After she died, he married her sister Emily, and they had three sons and two daughters. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 22, 1977.The house is primitive vernacular in style, and, in 1977 was being restored by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers to serve as a pioneer museum. It faces west, and a 1981 photo shows it with the Manti Temple in the background, to the northeast.Its NRHP nomination lists it at 95 W. 400 North St.; the house is found, however, at northeast corner of W. 300 North and N. 100 West, instead.
