Congregation Beth Israel is a Reconstructionist synagogue located at 542 South New Middletown Road in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, near Media. Formed in 1925 and granted a charter by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1929, Beth Israel is the first Jewish congregation founded in Media, the second-oldest in Delaware County, and the oldest Reconstructionist congregation in Delaware Valley. In 1935 the congregation bought the old Quaker school on Gayley Street in Media. Originally Orthodox and led by lay members, Beth Israel allowed mixed seating in the 1940s.The congregation started hiring part-time rabbis from the Yeshiva University Synagogue Council in 1948, and in 1957 it hired its first full-time rabbi, a Yeshiva University graduate. Jewish families became attracted to local Conservative synagogues in the 1960s, and demographic changes and a deteriorating building led to a significant membership decline, with the synagogue almost failing. In 1972, Beth Israel affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement, and by the 1980s it had hired its first full-time Reconstructionist rabbi, and had outgrown its building. It moved into its current building on Middletown Road in 1997.As of 2009, the rabbi was Linda Potemken.

Sun Valley High School is a public high school in Aston, Pennsylvania, a part of Delaware County in the Philadelphia suburbs. It is the only high school in the Penn-Delco School District. The school's mascot is the Vanguard, though its logos, statue, and costume all depict a griffin, a mythical creature. The official school colors are navy blue and vegas gold.

IceWorks is an ice arena in Aston, Pennsylvania USA, 15 minutes southwest of downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and 10 minutes northeast of Wilmington, Delaware. IceWorks Skating Complex opened in October 1997. The building consists of four ice surfaces, a full-service restaurant, and other amenities. Since opening in 1997, Iceworks has not updated its bathrooms or cleaning processes. IceWorks is one of the only public rinks in the United States or Canada with a professional coaching staff. Jim Watson, former Philadelphia Flyer, leads the hockey staff along with the rink's General Manager Stephane Charbonneau. Uschi Keszler, coach of Olympic skater Elvis Stojko, leads a Figure Skating staff of 18 full-time coaches. Public skating is also offered for people of all ages. It is also the training center of many national, international, world, and Olympic coaches and competitors, including being the host facility for the Liberty Open Summer Competition. This competition is the largest non-qualifying figure skating competition in the world and one that draws many national and international competitors. The IceWorks Skating Club has hosted many U.S. regional and sectional championships in its ten-year existence. Olympic athletes Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto (USA), and Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin (Russia) trained at the facility in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Belbin and Agosto are the first skaters representing the IceWorks Skating Club to win a world medal. The rink is also notable for hosting Neumann University's Men's and Women's ice hockey home games, as well as the home of the Philadelphia Little Flyers junior ice hockey team. The arena is also home to many junior hockey tournaments and international competitions in figure skating. Celebrity Boxing also holds events at IceWorks, including appearances by former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco. The facility's main competitors are Ice Line in West Chester, PA, The Pond in Newark, DE, and Oaks Center Ice in Phoenixville, PA. IceWorks is also home to two Special Hockey International teams, the Philadelphia Fearless Flyers and the Bucks County Admirals. The Bucks County Admirals use IceWorks as their second home arena. Their first home arena is the Bucks County Ice Sports Center. IceWorks was the host site for the 2012 United States Men's Curling Championship and the 2012 United States Women's Curling Championship.On January 24, 2009, IceWorks was the host of a celebrity boxing match between Danny Bonaduce and José Canseco that ended in a majority draw.

The Caleb Pusey House, built in 1683 in Upland, Pennsylvania in the United States, is the second oldest English house in Pennsylvania that is open to the public. Designed in a vernacular, English, yeoman's style, it is the only remaining house that William Penn is known to have visited. It stood on 100 acres (0.40 km2) near Chester Creek, which Penn granted to Pusey, a plantation which the latter named "Landing Ford." Since the 1950s, the building and grounds (now nine acres) have been owned by the Friends of the Caleb Pusey House, Inc. The house was restored and the property is operated as an historic house museum.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
