Viksjö

Gåseborg is a prehistoric hillfort in the Lake Mälaren district in Sweden. The scientists don't know for certain, but most likely it was built to supervise and control the water fairway below the fort, probably sometime during the late iron age (500-1100 AD). Several major fairways passed right here and from this place the local man in power could control the traffic to Uppsala, Sigtuna, Birka and the western districts of Lake Mälaren.

Ricksättra is a village (smaller locality) in Ekerö Municipality, Stockholm County, southeastern Sweden.

Lambarfjärden іs Mälaren's deepest fjord (66 meters). It is located in eastern Mälaren, bounded by Hässelby in the northeast, Lovön in the south, and Färingsö in the west. In Lambarfjärden are Lambarön and Hässelby islets, and on Lovön's northern tip is the community of Lambarudd, named after the bay. Lambarfjärden is also called Lambaren in sailing circles.

Görväln House (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈjœ̂rːvɛln]; Görvälns Slott) is a manor house at Järfälla Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. Görväln House is located at Görväln, a bay of lake Mälaren. The manor is now owned by Järfälla Municipality and since 2008 has been used as a hotel and restaurant.

This memorial runestone, listed as U 35 under Rundata, is located in Svartsjö, Uppland, Sweden, and dates from the Viking Age.

Hässelby is a Swedish town that is a part of Hässelby-Vällingby in the city of Stockholm, Sweden, comprising the suburban areas Hässelby Gård, Hässelby Strand and Hässelby Villastad. The territory also corresponds to Hässelby parish in the Church of Sweden. Hässelby SK is the town's local sports club.

Svartsjö Palace (Swedish: Svartsjö slott, "Black Lake Castle") is a Rococo palace situated in Svartsjö on the island of Färingsö in lake Mälaren. It lies just outside of Stockholm.

Kallhäll is a neighbourhood in Järfälla Municipality, Stockholm County. It is a suburban part of Stockholm urban area with a population of 12,000 inhabitants as of 2011 (including Stäket). Kallhäll started as an industrial suburb when the industrialist Erik Bolinder decided to move his Bolinders Mechanical Shops to Kallhäll from Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Housing for employees was built, thus expanding Kallhäll. The Bolinder factory structures remain today, encircled by expensive, modern lakeside residences. A second era of expansion took place in the 1960s when Kallhäll was included in the Swedish government's great effort to reduce the lack of housing, Miljonprogrammet (The Million Programme). The tall, long, multiple-story buildings of the 1960s-70s dominate Kallhäll to this day. Kallhäll has a station on the Stockholm commuter rail network, 21.1 km north-west of Stockholm Central Station.
