Perkins Homes was a former public housing development in Southeast Baltimore, located between Fells Point and Little Italy and bounded by Pratt Street to the north, Eden Street on the west, Dallas Street on the east, and Bank Street to the south. The community was located within the East Harbor Empowerment Zone of the Fells Point area, and was one of the oldest housing projects in southeast Baltimore. The housing project tenants were about 91% African-American, 7% Puerto Rican, and 2% white prior to relocation and demoliton.City Springs Elementary School is located at South Caroline and East Pratt Streets. Lombard Junior High School and First Apostolic Institution Church are nearby. In 2019, the Housing Authority of Baltimore City received $30 million in federal funding to demolish Perkins Homes. Current plans are for a new mixed-use community of replacement public housing and market rate apartments.

Public School No. 25, also known as Captain Henry Fleete School, named for one of the earliest and most influential colonizers of Maryland, Henry Fleete Sr., and Primary School No. 25, is a historic elementary school located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a late Victorian brick structure with an imposing Romanesque tower. It is a two-story, brick structure with a ground-level basement and features a central three-story tower capped by a pyramidal roof. It served a school for nearly 75 years.Public School No. 25 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The market currently consists of two separate shed buildings featuring various food retail options within. The market is managed by the Baltimore Public Markets Corporation, a non-profit operating on behalf of the City of Baltimore.

Douglass Place is a group of historic rowhouses located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Built in 1892, it represents typical "alley houses" of the period in Baltimore, two narrow bays wide, two stories high over a cellar, with shed roofs pitched to the rear. Italianate influence is reflected in their segmental-arched window and door openings, and in the simple molded sheet metal cornices which crown the buildings. Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) constructed the five buildings as rental housing for blacks in the Fells Point area of Baltimore, where he had resided from the 1820s to 1838. The site was the location of the Dallas Street Station Methodist Episcopal Church, which he had attended while living in the area.Douglass Place was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The National Slavic Museum in Fell's Point, Baltimore is a museum dedicated to the documentation of the Polish and Slavic heritage of Baltimore, including Baltimore's Belarusian, Bulgarian, Carpatho-Rusyn, Croatian, Czech, Lemko, Moravian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, and Ukrainian heritage.

Baltimore Freedom Academy (BFA) was a Baltimore City middle-high school, located for most of its existence in the Washington Hill neighborhood. Founded in 2003 as a public "innovation school," beginning in 2008 it operated as a charter school. The school was open to students citywide through the Baltimore City Public Schools lottery system. Baltimore Freedom Academy was closed by Baltimore City Public Schools following the 2013 school year.

Fell's Point is a historic waterfront neighborhood in southeastern Baltimore, Maryland. It was established around 1763 along the north shore of the Baltimore Harbor and the Northwest Branch of the Patapsco River. The area has many antique, music, and other stores, restaurants, coffee bars, a municipal markethouse with individual stalls, and over 120 pubs. Located 1.5 miles east of Baltimore's downtown central business district and the Jones Falls stream (which splits the city, running from northern Baltimore County), Fells Point has a maritime past and the air of a seafaring town. It also has the greatest concentration of drinking establishments and restaurants in the city.The neighborhood has also been historically the home of large immigrant populations of Irish, Germans, Jews, Poles and other Eastern European nationalities such as Ukrainians, Russians, Czechs, and Slovaks, throughout its 250-year-old history. Since the 1970s, a steadily increasing number of middle- to upper-middle-income residents has moved into the area, restoring and preserving historic homes and businesses. Upper Fell's Point to the north along Broadway has gained a sizable Latino population, primarily from waves of Mexican and Central American immigrants since the 1980s, and is sometimes now called "Spanish Town". This Fells Point waterfront is an upscale residential area and tourist destination featuring first rate hotels and restaurants. It can be reached by water taxi barges, on foot as it is a very short walk from the Inner Harbor, and by bus or car. Fells Point is one of several areas in and around Baltimore that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, (maintained by the National Park Service), the first designated from Maryland, and is one of the first registered historic districts in the United States to combine two separate waterfront communities (along with Federal Hill to the southwest across the Patapsco River and the Harbor on the "Old South Baltimore" peninsula of "Whetstone Point" at Fort McHenry).

Washington Hill is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is north of Fells Point, south of Johns Hopkins Hospital, east of Old Town and Jonestown and west of Butchers Hill. It is bounded by Fayette Street, Washington Street, Lombard Street, and Central Avenue. The neighborhood surrounds Broadway (formerly known as Market Street in Colonial times) running north from Fells Point to terminate at East North Avenue and is named for the now-defunct Washington Medical College later known as the Church Home and Hospital on Broadway where famed writer/poet Edgar Allan Poe was taken to die in 1849 after being found comatose in a downtown Baltimore street. In the median strip of Broadway is a statue of seven-term mayor of Baltimore, Ferdinand Claiborne Latrobe. City Springs School, a charter school for the Baltimore Curriculum Project, is located in Washington Hill. City Springs was the second school in Baltimore City history to be removed from the state's "recon list" of failing schools. Fairmount Heights Vocational High School (now closed) is in the area. Also nearby is City Springs Park, which contains recreational facilities.

St. Michael's Church Complex, also known as St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church complex located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The church was founded to serve the German immigrant community in Baltimore. The church is a late 19th-century Romanesque Revival structure, 170 by 80 feet, with a steeple 180 feet high. The complex consists of seven main buildings: the Church, Girls’ School, Rectory, Boys’ School, Convent, Brothers’ Residence, and the Parish Hall. It was the oldest continuously operating Redemptorist Catholic church in Baltimore possessing the largest extant, completely intact Redemptorist complex remaining in the city.St. Michael's Church Complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.The church is currently a brewery called Ministry of Brewing. The former altar holds brewing vessels for beer production.

South Central Avenue Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It contains brick two- and three-story industrial and residential buildings reflecting over 150 years of utilitarian adaptation of buildings and space. The district includes early 19th century rowhouses, late 19th century and early 20th century manufacturing and warehouse buildings, gas stations, stables, car barns, commercial/residential buildings, and corner stores. Several larger buildings are the Bagby Furniture Company Building (4 stories), the Strauss Malt House (5 stories), and the Alameda School. Many rowhouses have been covered with formstone.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
