Vigo Collegiate Institute

Indiana State University (ISU) is a public university in Terre Haute, Indiana. It was founded in 1865 and offers over 100 undergraduate majors and more than 75 graduate and professional programs. Indiana State is classified among "D/PU: Doctoral/Professional Universities".

The Condit House is the Official Residence of the President of Indiana State University. Built in 1860 and bequeathed to the university in 1962, it is the oldest building on the campus. The home, an example of Italianate architecture, was the private home of the Right Reverend Blackford Condit and his family from 1862 until 1962. Condit's youngest daughter, Helen, donated the home to the university upon her death.In addition to its role as the Official Residence, it previously served as the University Alumni Center.The architect was Jabez Hedden and the contractor was Lucien Houriet. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Stalker Hall is the current home of the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana State University. Originally named the Education & Social Studies Building upon completion in 1954, it was renamed Stalker Hall in 1966 in honor of Francis Marion Stalker, a long-member of the Faculty from 1892–1929. From 2004–2005, it underwent a $5.5 million renovation which addressed structural, technological and cosmetic deficiencies. It is now fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act's standards. Architect: Ralph O. Yeager Contractor: J.L. Notes: This is the second Indiana State University building to bear the name Stalker Hall, the initial building was the 'Laboratory School' constructed in 1905 and razed in 1953.

State Normal Library, also known as the Normal Hall, is a historic library building located on the campus of Indiana State University at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built between 1907 and 1909, and is a three-story, Classical Revival style brick and limestone building. An addition was constructed in 1957, creating an "L"-plan. The front facade features five engaged fluted, Ionic order columns.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Tirey Hall is the current home of the Terre Haute Symphony and is located at Indiana State University. Originally named the Student Union upon completion in 1940, it was renamed Tirey Hall in 1963 in honor of Ralph Noble Tirey, the fifth President of the University; his tenure ran from 1934–1953.The building was a PWA funded project, to the tune of $191,782.00. The balance was funded by the University. Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt gave the dedication address and Rose Bampton, Metropolitan Soprano performed. Chamber of Commerce Building is a historic commercial building located in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, United States. It was built in 1925, and is a two-story, rectangular, Tudor Revival-style brown brick building. It features limestone detailing, a green tile facade roof, and an arcade of Tudor arches.: Part 1, p. 28 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and was delisted in 2019.

Wabash Avenue–West Historic District is a national historic district located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It encompasses 24 contributing buildings in the central business district of Terre Haute. It developed after 1870 and includes representative examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Renaissance Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include 408 Wabash Avenue (c. 1870), 425-431 Wabash Avenue (1867-1868), the White Block (1899), The Albrecht Building (1893), 522 Wabash Avenue (1890), 524 Wabash Avenue (c. 1890), Koopman Building (1875), Blumberg Building (1915), and the Hotel Deming (1914).: Part 2, p. 5–12 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The First National Bank is a historic bank building located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1892 and remodeled in 1928, and is a two-story, Classical Revival style limestone building. It features a central pedimented pavilion supported by Corinthian order columns.: Part 1, p. 22 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Terre Haute Post Office and Federal Building is a historic structure in Terre Haute, Indiana. The first post office and federal building at this site opened in 1887. When this building was demolished in 1933, work began on the current structure. (The columns and pediment from the first post office now make up part of the Chauncey Rose Memorial in Terre Haute's Fairbanks Park.) The current building was funded as Public Work Project under the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The three-story Art Deco-style post office was built 1934 to the designs of Terre Haute–based architects Miller & Yeager for the cost of around $450,000. Completed on December 1, 1934, the building opened to the public in 1935. It originally was home to the post office, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service and the federal court. The federal courtroom features a mural by Frederick Webb Ross titled "The Signing of the Magna Carta.": Part 1, p. 35 The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. In 2007, the GSA turned over the facility to Indiana State; following a $30-million dollar, multi-year renovation; the building became the new home of the Indiana State University Scott College of Business. The first classes were held during the Fall 2012 semester.

Indiana State College Arena is a 5,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Terre Haute, Indiana. It was home to the Indiana State University Sycamores basketball team until the Hulman Civic University Center (now known as Hulman Center) opened in 1973. At the time of its construction, the Arena's roof was the largest single-span poured cement roof in the world.It also hosted the University's wrestling and Men's and Women's Gymnastics teams. During the 1961–62 and 1962-63 seasons, the Arena was the site of the Interstate Classic Basketball Tournament. Host Indiana State won the tournament in 1962, Western Illinois won the tournament in 1963. Today, it hosts the Women's Volleyball team; as well as providing space for the University intramural sports program and classroom and laboratory facilities for the College of Nursing, Health and Human Services. It also provides office space for the University's Intercollegiate Athletic Program.

Citizens' Trust Company Building, also known as the Sycamore Building, is a historic office building located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was designed in 1920 by the local firm of Johnson, Miller & Miller and built in 1921–1922, and is a 12-story, Chicago school style steel frame building sheathed in brick. It features stone and terra cotta detailing and Art Deco style design elements. The building was built to house the main office of the Citizens' Trust Company.: Part 1, p. 34 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Emeline Fairbanks Memorial Library is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. It was built in 1906 by the Modern Construction Company of Terre Haute. The building is in the Beaux Arts architectural style.The Emeline Fairbanks Memorial Library played an important role in Coca-Cola history. In June 1915, Earl R. Dean and T. Clyde Edwards were dispatched to the Emeline Fairbanks Memorial Library to research the ingredients of Coca-Cola. In the Encyclopædia Britannica, Dean came across a picture of a gourd-shaped cocoa pod. Inspiration from this cocoa pod lead Dean to his design of the iconic contour Coca-Cola bottle.In 1979, the library was acquired by the Indiana State University and would be converted into an art building five years later.
