Schoharie County ( skoh-HAIR-ee) is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 29,714, making it the state's fifth-least populous county. The county seat is Schoharie. "Schoharie" comes from a Mohawk word meaning "floating driftwood." Schoharie County is part of the Albany-Schenectady-Troy, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area.

West Fulton Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located in Fulton, Schoharie County, New York. It was built in 1906, and is a two-story, rectangular, Late Victorian style frame church. It has a broad front gable roof and sits on a limestone foundation. The front facade features an asymmetrically placed multi-stage bell tower. The interior is based on the Akron plan.: 5–6 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Petersburg Mountain

Warnerville Hill is located northwest, and Donats Mountain is located northwest of Petersburg Mountain. In 1940, a 67-foot-6-inch-tall (20.57 m) steel fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. The tower was closed at the end of the 1971 season, and later transferred to Schoharie County for use as a radio tower. The tower site is closed to the public.
