The Holbeck (formerly the Holbeck Working Men's Club or Holbeck WMC) in Leeds is one of the United Kingdom's oldest working men's clubs, and is thought to be the UK's oldest surviving working men's club.

Beeston is a suburb of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England located on a hill about 2 miles (3 km) south of the city centre. The origins of Beeston can be traced back to the medieval period. City Evangelical Church is an independent evangelical church in Beeston, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated on Cemetery Road in the former Beeston Hill Baptist Chapel.The church is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.

Stratford Street Mosque (officially the Omar Mosque or Masjid-e-Umar) is a mosque in Beeston, Leeds, England. Three people responsible for the 7 July 2005 London bombings (Shehzad Tanweer, Mohammad Sidique Khan and Hasib Hussain) were regulars at Friday prayers at the mosque. Stratford Street mosque is just a few streets away from the Colwyn Road home of Tanweer, who caused the Aldgate explosion.Mumir Shah, the imam of the mosque, condemned the London bombings at Friday prayers a day after the attacks, telling worshippers "that all human beings are brothers because of our grandfather, Adam (reported elsewhere as Abraham)" and that the message of Islam is one of "peace and friendship."

The Northern Forest is a proposed forest in England to encompass five community forests. The aim is to plant 50 million trees by 2032 which would provide a timber industry, leisure opportunities and environmental benefits. Initial funding for the project was granted by the British government in January 2018. The proposed forest has been welcomed by the Woodland Trust.

Holbeck TMD is a traction maintenance depot located in Holbeck, Leeds, England. The depot is located on the west side of the line from Woodlesford, and is 57 chains (1.1 km) south of Leeds railway station.The site has been used to stable trains since the 1860s.

Holbeck is an inner city area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It begins on the southern edge of Leeds city centre and mainly lies in the LS11 postcode district. The M1 and M621 motorways used to end/begin in Holbeck. Now the M621 is the only motorway that passes through the area since the end of the M1 moved to Hook Moor near Aberford. Since large parts of Holbeck have been vacated in preparation for the regeneration of the area, the district has in large parts suffered from a population exodus. Holbeck had a population of 5,505 in 2011. The district currently falls within the Beeston and Holbeck ward of Leeds City Council. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal also runs through Holbeck.

Temple Works is a former flax mill in Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was designed by the engineer James Coombe a former pupil of John Rennie; the painter David Roberts; and the architect Joseph Bonomi the Younger. It was built in the Egyptian Revival style for the industrialist John Marshall between 1836 and 1840 to contain a 240 horsepower double-beam engine by Benjamin Hick (B. Hick and Sons). Temple Works is the only Grade I listed building in Holbeck.

Leeds Whitehall railway station was a temporary station that was built to the west of Leeds station in Leeds, England while the latter was rebuilt by Railtrack between 1999 and 2002. There was a need for the station itself to be closed during nights and at Christmas of 2000.A temporary station was built on the Down Whitehall Line just off Springwell Road near the junction of Water Lane, in Holbeck, with a bus turning circle and bus stands outside the station. Bus services ran to ferry passengers from the industrial estate in which the station was placed to Leeds station. It opened on 26 September 1999.A passenger welcome board stood at the junction of Water Lane and Springwell Road, informing passengers of this temporary station, the building work at Leeds station and other information. The colour scheme of the time was the standard white, grey and crimson colours of Railtrack. CCTV signs were placed around the site, warning that footage of people could be used in a court of law. The station consisted of a single platform that was mainly used by Arriva Trains Northern services to and from Manchester Airport between 12 am and 5 am; as well as some local services during daytime off-peak hours. The station also contained two Portakabin buildings; one was a waiting room and the other included toilets and office accommodation. Both buildings had impact-resistant walls and anti-vandal finishes. The last passenger train to use the station called on 23 February 2002.

The Round Foundry is a former engineering works off Water Lane in Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Founded in the late 18th century, the building was developed into the Round Foundry Media Centre in 2005.

Midland Mills is a former flax mill on Silver Street in Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, in the Holbeck Urban Village regeneration area. Since the 1980s it has been used for light industrial work.

Holbeck Urban Village is an area of Leeds city centre, close to Leeds railway station that has been undergoing a period of urban renewal.
