Pine Point Park is a park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located on the east end junction of Allenby Avenue and Hadrian Drive, near the intersection of Highway 401 and Islington Avenue. The park itself is bordered by Albion Road to the west, Highway 401 to the south, and Humber River to the east. Pine Point Park was home to the Rexdale Streethawks ball hockey team. The team practiced regularly in the park in an old lacrosse practice facility known locally as "The Box". The team formed in 1989 and disbanded in 1991. Other features in the park include an outdoor swimming pool, four tennis courts, an indoor ice arena that is home to the Etobicoke Hockey League, and a banquet hall that serves the community.

Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School (also called Don Bosco, Don Bosco CSS, DBCSS, Don Bosco Toronto, or simply Bosco), is a Toronto Catholic District School Board secondary school facility in Etobicoke in the city of Toronto, Ontario, located north of the intersection of Islington Avenue and Dixon Road in the Kingsview Village neighbourhood. The school opened in 1978 by the Salesians of Don Bosco religious orders as Central Etobicoke's first Catholic high school and moved into the former Keiller Mackay Collegiate Institute building, constructed and opened in 1971 by the Etobicoke Board of Education, in 1983. Don Bosco became fully publicly funded by the Metropolitan Separate School Board in 1987. Many years later, the board closed Don Bosco due to dwindling enrollment in 2017 and the building became the temporary home for the Toronto Argonauts practice facility, with a short-term lease of the facility from the TCDSB. After its vacancy, the school building is used to house Dante Alighieri Academy starting in 2021–22 school year as their school is being reconstructed. In the school's later years, Don Bosco became famous for then-Mayor Rob Ford's notorious football program.

Keiller MacKay Collegiate Institute (KMCI, Keiller MacKay) is a medium-sized public high school building located in Toronto's west end close to the intersection of Islington Avenue and Highway 401. Opened in 1971 until closing in 1983, it was overseen by the Etobicoke Board of Education, which was joined with other school boards in the Toronto area during the city's amalgamation to form what is now the Toronto District School Board.

School of Experiential Education (SEE) is a small alternative high school located in Toronto's west end of Etobicoke. SEE's take on alternative education includes small class sizes, discussion-based courses, thematic English courses, and opportunities for independent and project-based learning. SEE delivers all courses required for the completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. It offers opportunities to participate in media, technology, and photography courses, with equipment such as cameras, two computer labs, recording equipment and a dark room available for student use. SEE has a full curriculum that includes the arts, math, humanities and sciences, as well as physical education, technology and business. SEE is a semestered school. It is designed for students with strong academic potential who are disinterested by the traditional high school approaches to learning. Almost all students go on to university.The school began in 1971 as one of two alternative schools in the Etobicoke School Board. When the government of Mike Harris merged the Toronto area school boards and sharply cut budgets in 1998, the school was threatened with closure.

St. Basil-the-Great College School (also known locally as St. Basil-The-Great, SBGCS, SBC, St. Basil's, or just Basil's) is a Roman Catholic secondary school of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (formerly the Metropolitan Separate School Board) located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The school was founded by the Basilian Fathers in 1962 as an all-boys private boarding school on the Weston and Sheppard area. It became a co-educational institution in 1970 and has been operating as a public separate school since 1986. The school was named after Basil of Caesarea, the school's patron saint.

Pelmo Park-Humberlea is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located north-west of the central core, in the former suburb of North York. Many of the neighbourhoods in this quadrant of the city can aptly be described as family neighbourhoods with access to parks, green space and a slower pace than found closer to downtown. As its name implies, it is composed of two geographic areas, the first being the Pelmo Park area which is bordered by the 401 to the north, Woodward Avenue to the south, Jane Street to the east and the CNR rail tracks to the west. Monsignor Percy Johnson Catholic Secondary School (Monsignor Percy Johnson CSS, MPJCSS, MPJ or Johnson) is a Roman Catholic high school in Rexdale, northern Etobicoke in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada part of the Toronto Catholic District School Board. The school was opened in 1984 at the former Rexdale Junior School before moving to the Heatherbrae Middle School in 1986. It is located next to St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church and Catholic School and was named after Percy Johnson (September 22, 1912 – December 22, 1983), a Catholic priest and member of the former Metropolitan Separate School Board. . The motto of the school is Heart Speaks to Heart.

Rexdale is a neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located north-west of the central core, in the former city of Etobicoke. Rexdale defines an area of several official neighbourhoods north of Highway 401 and east of Highway 427. Rexdale was originally a post World War II residential development within Etobicoke, and today is applied to a general area from Malton and Toronto Pearson International Airport in the City of Mississauga to the west, Highway 401 to the south, Steeles Avenue to the north, and the Humber River to the east. It is centred on Rexdale Boulevard and Islington Avenue.
