Heath Park Halt was a railway station in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in England, UK. It was the terminus for passenger services on the Nickey line, a 9-mile (14 km) branch line which ran from Harpenden into Hemel Hempstead town centre. Passenger services were withdrawn in 1947, and the station closed with the line in 1960. The station was located on an embankment above the junction of Station Road and Corner Hall Road. Today, nothing of the station or the embankment remains; the site it occupied lies directly opposite the former Kodak headquarters building.

They claim that it will be carbon neutral, as it will generate all the energy it needs, and residents will never have to any energy bills. It will incorporate the UK's densest solar farm.In July 2018, the project was listed for sale by the receivers "after the debt held against it was called in by its bridge lender". It was due to have been completed in 2018. The "freehold development opportunity" is listed for sale at £8.5 million.

"The Magic Roundabout" in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England, is the familiar name given to the Plough Roundabout. The familiar name comes from the children's television programme, and is also used for a similar junction in Swindon and the M40 junction in Denham. The official name relates to a former public house, called The Plough Inn, which was between the junction of what is now Selden Hill and St Albans Road. It has also been known as the Moor End Roundabout as it is adjacent to the part of Boxmoor nearest the town. Before Hemel Hempstead became a new town the roads met in a simple junction which was then replaced by a standard roundabout.

Roughdown Common is a 3.6-hectare (8.9-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. The planning authority is Dacorum Borough Council. The site is Common land, and it is owned by the Box Moor Trust having been officially brought by the trust in April 1886 from the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's. It is part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Common is a steeply sloping chalk hill in south Hemel Hempstead.

Boxmoor is part of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. It is within the district of Dacorum and comprises mainly 19th-century housing and meadowland, with transport links from London to the Midlands. At the 2011 Census, the population of Boxmoor was included in the Dacorum ward of Bovingdon, Flaunden and Chipperfield.

The River Bulbourne is a small river in Dacorum, Hertfordshire, England. The word bourne derives from the Anglo-Saxon word for a stream. It is an unnavigable tributary of the River Gade, which flows into the River Colne, which in turn is a tributary of the River Thames. The Bulbourne is an example of a chalk stream, which is a watercourse that flows from chalk-fed groundwater. Chalk streams are a very rare habitat globally, with more than 85% of all the 210 chalk streams in the world are found in England. The river is reduced in size, due to human activity, the main one being the building of the London to Birmingham Grand Union Canal through the narrow valley which takes most of the river's water.

The Dacorum Pavilion was a theatre and performance venue in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. The Pavilion closed in June 2002. The site is occupied by The Forum, which houses council offices and a library.Acts to have performed at the Pavilion included David Bowie, Electric Light Orchestra, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Genesis, Rod Stewart and the Faces, Status Quo, and U2. It was designed by the British modernist architect Clifford Culpin.The cost of constructing the Pavilion was estimated at £341,500 in 1964.Photographs of the pavilion by Henk Snoek are in the collection of the British Architectural Library.The local activist group AViD (Arts Venue In Dacorum) are campaigning for the return of an arts venue in Hemel Hempstead.

Apsley was a 19th-century mill village in the county of Hertfordshire, England. It is a historic industrial site situated in a valley of the Chiltern Hills. It is positioned below the confluence of two permanent rivers, the Gade and Bulbourne. In an area of little surface water this was an obvious site for the location of water mills serving local agriculture and from the early 19th century became an important centre for papermaking. Today it is a suburb of the larger town of Hemel Hempstead. Recent (2011–) rapid building around the canal area has seen a large influx of London commuters, largely from the software and business communities. At the 2011 Census the village was included in the Dacorum Ward of Apsley and Corner Hall.
