Yakacık Çarşı is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Kartal, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 17,825 (2022).

Soğanlık is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway in the Soğanlık Yeni neighborhood. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012.

Yakacık - Adnan Kahveci is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway in the Hürriyet neighborhood and is the easternmost station in Kartal. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 10 October 2016.

Yunus railway station Turkish: Yunus istasyonu is a railway station in Kartal, Istanbul on the Marmaray commuter rail line. It is located on Tercüme Avenue, one block north of Çetin Emeç Boulevard on the coast and is the easternmost station in Kartal. The original station was opened on 22 September 1872 by the Ottoman government, as part of the railway from Kadıköy to İzmit. In 1949, the station was rebuilt and expanded to two side platforms, serving two tracks. Commuter rail service from Haydarpaşa to Gebze began in 1951 and the station was electrified in 1969. The station closed down in 2013 for the construction of the new Marmaray rail project and was demolished shortly after. In 2016, the current station was built as an island platform serving two tracks, with a third express track on the south side. Yunus station was reopened by March 12, 2019.

Muhammad Maarifi Mosque (Turkish: Maarifi Sultan Camii) is a historical mosque in Kartal district of Istanbul, Turkey, which was once a Rifa'i Tekke.The area of the mosque was a khanqah of Rufai order which was built by Muhammad Maarifi since 1818. The khanqah was damaged during the 1894 Istanbul earthquake but was soon restored. The 1925 religious reforms banned khanqahs in Turkey, and the facility was turned into a house. By about 1940 the building was derelict except for the prayer hall and tomb. Repairs started in 1964, and in 1976, the building was turned into a mosque. In 1980, a minaret and a sadirvan were built over the mosque.

Kartal is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 38 km2, and its population is 483,418 (2022). It is located on the Asian side of the city, on the coast of the Marmara Sea between Maltepe and Pendik. Despite being far from the city centre, Kartal is heavily populated (total population nearly 500,000). The district's neighbours are Maltepe to the west, Sultanbeyli and Sancaktepe to the north and Pendik to the east. Inland from the coast, the land rises sharply up to the hills Yakacık and Aydos, the latter of which is the highest point in Istanbul.

Kartal Surp Nişan Armenian Church (Holy Cross Armenian Church) is an Armenian Church located in Kartal Municipality, Istanbul. The facility was built in the 16th century as a chapel. It collapsed and was rebuilt as a school and church in 1776. Since 1857, the church was renewed. It has been in service since 1 September 1857.The church is a property of Kartal Surp Nişan Armenian Church and School Foundation.

Hastane - Adliye is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway in the Esenkent neighborhood and is the westernmost metro station in Kartal. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012. It is located next to the Anatolian Palace of Justice.

Pendik station (Turkish: Pendik garı) is the main railway station in Pendik, Istanbul. Located between Hatboyu and Abdülhalik Renda Avenues in southeastern Pendik. TCDD Taşımacılık operates YHT trains to Ankara and Konya, via Eskişehir, along with daily regional trains to Adapazarı. The station is 24.05 km (14.94 mi) away from Haydarpaşa station in central Istanbul. The metro line M10 is currently under construction to make the link with Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is located about 9 km in the North.

Pendik is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro. Located under the Pendik interchange on the D.100 in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Pendik, Istanbul, it was opened on 10 October 2016 along with the 5 km (3.1 mi) expansion from Kartal to Pendik. It is the closest station to the Turkish State Railways' Pendik station, located 1 km (0.62 mi) south. IETT offers bus service to bridge the gap.

Acıbadem is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in the Acıbadem neighborhood of Kadıköy, Istanbul. Situated under the D.100 state highway, near Acıbadem Avenue. The station was opened on 17 August 2012 along with the Kadıköy-Kartal portion of the M4 line.

Kartal railway station (Turkish: Kartal istasyonu) is a railway station in Kartal, Istanbul. The station was a stop on the Haydarpaşa suburban between 1951 and 2013, when the railway between Haydarpaşa and Pendik was closed. The station reopened to Marmaray commuter rail service on 12 March 2019. Prior to 2012, Kartal station was also a stop on the popular Adapazarı Express regional rail service to Adapazarı.
