The Alloway Township School District is a public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Alloway Township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 289 students and 25.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth-highest of eight groupings. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for grades nine through twelve attend Woodstown High School in Woodstown, which serves students from Pilesgrove Township and Woodstown, along with students from Alloway Township, Oldmans Township and Upper Pittsgrove Township who attend the high school as part of sending/receiving relationships with the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 559 students and 49.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1.

Quinton Township is a township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 2,580, a decrease of 86 (−3.2%) from the 2010 census count of 2,666, which in turn reflected a decline of 120 (−4.3%) from the 2,786 counted in the 2000 census.Quinton was formally incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 18, 1873, from portions of Upper Alloways Creek Township (now Alloway Township). The township's name is said to derive from the name of an early settler, with both Tobias Quinton and Edward Quinton mentioned as possible namesakes. In March 1778, during the American Revolutionary War, a minor battle was fought between British forces and local militia at Quinton's Bridge.It is a dry township, where alcohol cannot legally be sold.

The Battle of Quinton's Bridge was a minor battle of the American Revolutionary War fought on March 18, 1778, during the British occupation of Philadelphia. New Jersey militia companies defending a bridge across Alloway Creek in Salem County, New Jersey, were lured into a trap by British Lieutenant Colonel Charles Mawhood and suffered significant casualties.

Richard Brick House is located in Salem, Salem County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1750 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 13, 1976.

Dickinson House is located on Brickyard Road in Alloway Township of Salem County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1754 and was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1939. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 20, 1975, for its significance in architecture.
