Within the diocese it is better known as Saint Stan's. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 as Church of St. Stanislaus–Catholic and was designated as a Minor Basilica of the Roman Catholic Church on November 10, 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI.

The Kashubian Cultural Institute & Polish Museum is a cultural and historical museum, founded in 1979 to preserve the Polish and Kashubian heritage of Winona, Minnesota. Sugar Loaf Brewery or Bub's Brewery is a former brewery in Winona, Minnesota, United States. It was established in 1862 at the foot of Sugar Loaf, the prominent river bluff from which it took its name. The extant brewery complex, which includes storage caves dug into the bluff, dates from 1872 when the original building was destroyed by fire and a replacement built. The brewery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 for its local significance in the theme of industry. It was nominated for its association with prominent local brewer Peter Bub (d. 1911) and his successors, who produced beer on the site until 1969.The building has been converted into an antique mall, Treasures Under Sugar Loaf.

Sugar Loaf is a bluff on the Mississippi River topped by a rock pinnacle, overlooking the city of Winona, Minnesota, United States. The name "Sugar Loaf" is sometimes taken to mean just the rock pinnacle, which was created by quarrying in the 19th century. The bluff stands above the junction of U.S. Route 61 and State Highway 43. It towers 500 feet (150 m) over Lake Winona (a former part of the Mississippi River's main channel), and the pinnacle rises more than 85 feet (26 m) above the remainder of the bluff. Sugar Loaf was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 for having local significance in the theme of entertainment/recreation. It was nominated for being one of Minnesota's most famous landmarks to early travelers and tourists; a popular subject for stereopticon images, travel literature, and folklore.

Central Grade School is an elementary school in Winona, Minnesota, United States. Its building was constructed in 1930, the first of five new facilities built by Winona Public Schools in the early 20th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012 for its local significance in the theme of education. It was nominated for representing the efforts of Winona Public Schools to implement progressive educational reforms such as separated grades, kindergartens, gymnasiums, art and music classrooms, and improved hygiene and fire safety features.

The Great River Shakespeare Festival (GRSF) is a professional equity theatre company in Winona, Minnesota, a Mississippi River town in the southeastern part of the state. Starting in 2004, it has produced several simultaneous performances each summer, held at the Winona State University DuFresne Performing Arts Center, with annual audiences of over 10,000. Its 2023 season runs from June 20 to July 30. The festival features many art, music, and other events, such as an annual sonnet contest with entries from around the world. Additionally, Company Conversations, a weekly open-to-the-public talkback with company members, are hosted Sundays at Blooming Grounds Coffee House in downtown Winona. GRSF also offers educational opportunities, especially for youth, including an apprentice/intern production. Youth classes are offered for grades 7-12, titled Shakespeare for Young Actors (SYA), Shakespeare for Young Designers (SYD), and Shakespeare for Young Filmmakers (SYF). SYA began in 2010. Near the end of every season, GRSF company members produce a one-night performance known as Callithump, "a ridiculously fun, boisterous and wildly entertaining" fundraiser and variety show. Typical acts include singing, skits, an auction, and more. Company members who participate in this show are colloquially known as "Thumpians". Before the show, pre-Callithump is held outside the Performing Arts Center; this often includes a dunk tank and other carnival-esque attractions.

The Watkins Manor House is a historic mansion in Winona, Minnesota, United States. It was built from 1924 to 1927 for Paul Watkins (1865–1931), second-generation leader of the J.R. Watkins Company and progenitor of its famous door-to-door sales strategy. It was designed in the Jacobethan style by architect Ralph Adams Cram. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 as the Paul Watkins House for its local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for its associations with Paul Watkins and the Watkins Company, and for its architecture, being a rare and unaltered example of a house designed by an architect better known for his churches and institutional buildings.The manor is now part of a senior housing complex, containing apartments and community spaces.
