Ancramdale, New York

Silvernail Homestead is a historic home located at Ancram in Columbia County, New York and Pine Plains, Dutchess County, New York. It is an L-shaped building with a main block, with rear lean-to and ell. The main block is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-by-two-bay structure with a gable roof in the Greek Revival style. It features a single-story entrance porch with six restored Doric order piers. It has been occupied by five generations of the Silvernail family.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Simons General Store is a historic general store located at Ancram in Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1873–74 and is a rectangular shaped three story frame structure. It features a cupola and an elaborate two story piazza. The interior features original furniture and fixtures dating between 1874 and 1895, with electric fixtures dating between 1911 and 1915.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

St. John's Lutheran Church is a historic Lutheran church complex located at Ancram in Columbia County, New York. The complex includes the church, parsonage (ca. 1853), 19th century horse sheds, and church hall (ca. 1910). The church was built in 1847 and is a rectangular, heavy timber frame meeting house that received major modifications in 1854, 1886, and 1906. It is sparsely decorated in Greek Revival style. The current bell tower was added in 1886.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Moses Kill is an approximately 22.0-mile-long (35.4 km) tributary stream of the Hudson River in New York state. The source is in the foothills of the Taconic Mountains in Hartford in Washington county. The stream flows thru the town and village of Argyle before entering the Hudson River at Fort Edward, just south of Griffin Island. Beginning in the late 1760s the Moses Kill's water was dammed at a few locations to support several small mills near Argyle Village.

The Pines is a historic home located at the hamlet of Pine Plains in the town of Pine Plains, Dutchess County, New York. It was built in 1878 and is a large 2-story frame residence with a 1+1⁄2-story service wing designed in the Stick-Eastlake style. It has an asymmetrical appearance with projecting bays, cross gables, and porches. It features a steeply pitched, common lap slate roof, four corbeled chimney stacks with terra cotta pots, and a tower with a steeply pitched pyramidal roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Graham-Brush Log House is a historic home located in the Town of Pine Plains, Dutchess County, New York. It was built in about 1776 and is a two-room log structure with a wood frame lean-to on its rear elevation. It measures roughly 39 feet long and 18 feet wide. It is one and one half stories with a gable roof; the lean-to addition is one story. The Brush house was acquired in 1997-1998 by the local historical society, the Little Nine Partners Historical Society. In 1998 it was damaged by an arson fire.Lewis Graham came from Westchester County where the British had burned his house. He came to Pine Plains because his father had been one of the Little Nine Partners in the local land patent. About 1776, he built a one-room log cabin without a cellar to which he soon added a center hall with stairs to the loft and another room with a fireplace, all of logs. The log addition was built over a cellar with an outside entrance. The simple lap joining of logs, without dovetails, relates its construction methods to the military garrisons being built at that time to house troops.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

West Copake is a hamlet in the southwestern part of the Town of Copake, in Columbia County, New York, United States. The community is 15.2 miles (24.5 km) southeast of Hudson. West Copake had a post office until September 24, 1988.West Copake was the site of Camps Barrington, a Jewish summer camp for boys, founded in 1921, and Camp Rhoda, a sister Jewish summer camp for girls, founded in 1923. Both camps were situated next to Upper Rhoda pond and were founded by Sanford S. Bettman, a school administrator. Beginning in 1936 both camps were run by Abe Porchenick (Uncle Porky) 1908-2004 and his wife Ella as well as Gustave De Lemos (Uncle Gus) 1906-1985 and his wife Ruth until the camps closed in 1967.
