Bristol Beach State Park is a 242-acre (0.98 km2) undeveloped state park located on the Hudson River in the town of Saugerties in Ulster County, New York. The park was initially formed in 1967, and is managed by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission.

Cementon is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Catskill in Greene County, New York, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The community is in the southeastern corner of Greene County, bordered to the east by the Hudson River and to the south by the town of Saugerties in Ulster County. U.S. Route 9W forms the western edge of the community, leading north 7 miles (11 km) to Catskill village and south 4.5 miles (7.2 km) to Saugerties village.

The Great Vlaie is a swamp which is the source of the Sawyer Kill stream in Ulster County, New York.

The Trumpbour Homestead Farm is a National Register of Historic Places listing located in Saugerties, New York. The property contains six buildings, including a c. 1732 vernacular stone house.

Clermont Estates Historic District is a national historic district located near Germantown in Columbia County, New York, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. When listed, it included 34 contributing buildings, including the Clermont Manor, which is also a New York State Historic Site. In 1990, the district was subsumed, along with the Sixteen Mile District, into the Hudson River Historic District.

Malden-on-Hudson (-), commonly known as Malden, is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 365 at the 2020 census. The community of Malden is in the eastern part of the Town of Saugerties, north of the Village of Saugerties. There is a public boat launch on the Hudson River that is often used by the Malden Yacht Club, a group of local kayakers.

Katsbaan is a hamlet of the town of Saugerties in Ulster County, New York, United States, located north of the village of Saugerties and south of Catskill. The hamlet existed at least as far back as the American Revolution. The origin of the name, kaatsbaan, which means "tennis court", is linked to the original Dutch visitors to the area who saw lacrosse being played by native Iroquois which they thought resembled tennis. The hamlet's name is also at the origin of the name of the Catskill mountains. Note that Katsbaan is originally spelled Kaatsbaan (e.g. on the other side of the Hudson, in Tivoli NY, is a 'Kaatsbaan'). The Dutch double vowel didn't always survive in English (see Haarlem - Harlem). In Dutch, players on a 'kaatsbaan' are 'kaatsers'. North of Katsbaan is a stream (Dutch: 'kill') originally called Kaatsers kill, currently Kaaterskill Creek. Thus the creek gave its name to the mountains where it originated. The hamlet was settled by Dutch farmers and German Palatines prior to 1730, and was deeded to the Dutch Reformed Church by 1732. A stone church that was constructed at that time was used as a landmark on Colonial American maps, and still stands today.

The Greene County Nuclear Power Plant was proposed in 1974 by the Power Authority of the State of New York. A single 1,212 MWe Babcock & Wilcox pressurized water reactor was to be built approximately 5 miles south of Catskill, New York on the western shore of the Hudson River, but the plant proposal was canceled in 1979, largely due to concerns over social and economic disruptions to the local communities.

Saugerties High School is a public high school in Saugerties, New York, United States. It is physically attached to the Junior High School which runs from 7th to 8th grade. It is the only High School in the Saugerties Central School District.

The Clermont State Historic Site, also known as the Clermont estate, the Clermont Manor or just Clermont, is a New York State Historic Site in southwestern Columbia County, New York, United States. It protects the former estate of the Livingston family, seven generations of whom lived on the site over more than two centuries.

The Sawyer Kill or Sawyer's Kill is a 7.0-mile-long (11.3 km) tributary stream of the Hudson River in New York state. The source is at the Great Vlaie on the border of Ulster and Greene counties. The stream enters the Hudson River at Seamon Park in Malden, New York, just north of the village of Saugerties. Saugerties takes its name from the Dutch, "Saugerje's Kill" or "Little Sawyer's creek".

The Stone Jug is a historic house at the corner of NY 9G and Jug Road in Clermont, New York, United States. It dates to the mid-18th century and is largely intact, although it has been expanded somewhat since then. It was built by Konradt Lasher, a Palatine German immigrant to the area who first farmed as a tenant of Robert Livingston. Unusually in an area where brick was the favored material, he chose stone. In the mid-19th century his descendants bought the land and built a farmhouse, now across the street. It, the stone house and several other buildings from the Lasher family farm were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Later, in 1992, it became a contributing property to the Hudson River Historic District, a National Historic Landmark.
