Abraham's Well

The Pride House in Beersheba is a local LGBT organization in Beersheba, Israel, that works for and promotes the LGBT community in Beersheba, the Negev, and the wider Israeli community. Pride House Beersheba organizes various social activities for the local LGBT community as well as Pride Parades, and has established itself as a prominent figure in Israel. The organization has been active since 2000 as a local branch of the Israeli LGBT association. However, in 2015, it separated from this organization and established itself as a separate local organization in its own right.

On 18 October 2015, a gunman shot and killed 19-year-old Israeli soldier Omri Levy in a bus station in Beersheba. After killing the soldier, he took his automatic rifle and fired into a crowd. When more security officers appeared, the gunman fled, but was killed by security personnel. A 29-year-old Eritrean asylum seeker, Haftom Zarhum was mistaken for a second attacker. He was shot eight times by police and was kicked and beaten by four Israelis as he lay wounded, while bystanders shouted profanities at him. Graphic footage of the lynching was filmed by a bystander and spread on social media.At least eleven people, including Zarhum, who died of his wounds a few hours later, and four police officers, were hospitalized. The gunman was the first Israeli Bedouin to be involved in an attack against Israelis.In response to the lynching, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that citizens should not take the law into their own hands.

The Negev Museum of Art is an art museum in the Old City of Be'er Sheva, Israel. The building is the former Governor's Mansion, built in 1906 by the Ottomans as part of government edifices that include the Seraya and the local mosque.

The Battle of Beersheba, codenamed Operation Moses (Hebrew: מִבְצָע מֹשֶׁה, Mivtza Moshe), was an Israeli offensive on Beersheba on October 21, 1948. It was part of Operation Yoav and was conducted at the end of the operation. It was made possible following the opening of a land corridor from the Negev desert to the rest of Israel in the Battles of the Separation Corridor. The capture had both military and political significance. It helped sever the supply route of the Egyptian expeditionary force's eastern wing, and strengthened Israel's claim to the Negev desert. The attack started at 04:00 on October 21, and involved the Negev Brigade and the 89th Battalion of the 8th Brigade. It ended at 09:15, when the Egyptians surrendered the town's police station.

Be'er Sheva Center railway station is an Israel Railways terminal in Beersheba. It is located on Yitzhak Ben Zvi street next to the city's central bus station and HaNegev Mall. It is one of two railway stations serving the city, the other being Be'er Sheva North, located near the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

The Rambam Square Towers are a complex of two residential skyscrapers in the Israeli city of Beersheba. Rambam Square 1 was completed in 2001, and is 100 meters high, with 26 floors. It was the tallest tower in the city until the completion of Rambam Square 2 in 2003. This tower is 112 meters high with 32 floors and is the tallest residential tower outside of the Gush Dan Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area.

Turkish Soldiers Monument in Beersheba is a monument that stands on David Tobiahu Boulevard, near the old Turkish railway station in Beersheba. The headstone was placed in 2002 by the Turkish government, in memory of 298 Turkish soldiers who fell in the Battle of Beersheba. A memorial plaque was placed at the base of the tombstone in memory of the Turkish soldiers who fell in the campaign. The plaque was originally placed by the British on the entrance wall of the British military cemetery, in recognition of the respect for the dead that Turks showed when they placed a tombstone for a British pilot who died in battle against them. Next to the tombstone stands a head statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In 2010, the tombstone was vandalized following the events of the flotilla to Gaza, when the inscription "All honor to the IDF" was sprayed on it, and an attempt was made to set fire to the Turkish flag next to it.

The president since 2021 is Professor Semyon Levitsky.
