Hørning railway station

not to be confused with the village of Hørning in Randers municipalityHørning is a town in central Denmark with a population of 8,474 (1 January 2023), located in Skanderborg Municipality on the peninsula of Jutland. Today Hørning is a southwestern suburb of Aarhus located between Aarhus and Skanderborg Hørning should not be mistaken for Herning which is the bigger, more metropolitan city in Jutland where the regional train passing through Hørning is also destined to.

Until 1 January 2007 Hørning municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Aarhus County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 67.71 km², and had a total population of 8,688 (2005). Its last mayor was Søren Erik Pedersen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Hørning. Hørning municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with existing Galten, Ry, and Skanderborg municipalities to form the new Skanderborg municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 416 km² and a total population of 49,469 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Midtjylland ("Mid-Jutland Region").

Stilling-Solbjerg Lake (Danish: Stilling-Solbjerg Sø) is a lake in Jutland, Denmark between Stilling in Skanderborg Municipality and Solbjerg in Aarhus Municipality. The lake is 7 km long and it is a part of the upper section of Aarhus river. In Stilling the lake is also known as Stilling Lake, in Solbjerg it is known as Solbjerg Lake and in Fregerslev it is known as Fregerslev Lake. Stilling-Solbjerg Lake and the areas around it are a protected area. The area includes the lake and the valley Pilbrodalen. It was protected in 1964 and 1965 by the Danish Nature Agency.The lake is not freely accessible from all directions but there are large recreational areas with jetties and benches by the lake in both Stilling and Solbjerg. From the north side the lake is accessible from Søgårde and from the south side Restaurant Stilling Sø lies by the shore. The lake is home to the training facilities for Skanderborg Vandski Klub (Skanderborg Water Ski Club)-

Kolt Church (Danish: Kolt Kirke) is a church located in Kolt Parish in Aarhus, Denmark. The church is situated in the Hasselager neighborhood, south-west of Viby. It is a parish church of the Church of Denmark and there's population of 6.973 within the parish borders (2016).

Borum is a village in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark. Borum is situated 2.5 kilometres south of Sabro and 3 kilometres west of the Aarhus suburb of Tilst and has a population of 306 (1 January 2023). About 2 kilometres west of Borum is the village of Herskind. The village has an active community centered on the village hall, with amateur theatre, film club, choir, cooking, gymnastics, markets, etc.. Just south of Borum is the stream of Lyngbygård Å. The stream feeds Årslev Engsø and the Aarhus River and parts of the river valley has recently been environmentally restored and reconstructed, with nature paths and trails.

Beder-Malling is a town in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark, with a population of 9,228 (1 January 2023). Beder-Malling is situated South-east of Mårslet and 6 kilometers South of Aarhus. Beder-Malling is a new town formed when the towns of Beder and Malling merged into one conurbation in the 2010s and it officially became one urban area.

Ormslev is a small village in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark with a population of 370 (1 January 2023).Ormslev is located 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) west of Aarhus city, between the settlements of Stavtrup (4 km (2.5 mi) east), Hasselager (4 km (2.5 mi) southeast) and Harlev (8 km (5.0 mi) west), on the southern slopes of the broad and flat Aarhus Ådal river valley, overlooking the Brabrand Lake and Aarhus River. The lake and natural site of Årslev Engsø is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northeast of Ormslev, including the historic manor of Constantinsborg. Route E45 passes by immediately west of Ormslev. Further west, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi), is Aarhus Aadal Golf Club.

Tarskov Mill Farm is a mill and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark. The current mill was built in 1777 and was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 10 October 1964. The buildings are today used for horse breeding, raising cattle and as a bed and breakfast.The mill is placed on the Aarhus River north of Jeksendalen. The buildings can be traced bac kto the 1600s but is presumed to be older. The existing water mill was constructed in 1777 for milling grain. The mill no longer operates and the mill house is today empty. The water wheel was replaced by a 25 hk turbine in the 20th century but has since been removed again, leaving only the pond, water locks and grinders. The buildings are half-timbered and the roofs are shingled or thatched.

Tranbjerg J is a town in Aarhus in Denmark. "J" is for Jutland to distinguish this place from a similarly named place on Zealand, and is not used in daily parlance.

Harlev Rectory (Danish: Harlev Præstegård) is the rectory of the Harlev and Framlev pastorate and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark. The rectory was completed in 1732 and was listed by the Danish Heritage Agency on 3 March 1950. Originally it was the rectory of the adjoining Gl. Harlev Church but the Harlev and Framlev pastorates have been merged so the priest today serve both parishes. The rectory is owned by the Church of Denmark along with the church itself.

Solbjerg is a south-western suburb of Aarhus in Denmark and one of the outer suburbs of Aarhus. It is located 17 km. from the city centre and has a population of 4,710 (1 January 2023).

INCUBA Science Park is a research park in Aarhus, Denmark with four departments in Skejby, Katrinebjerg, Aarhus University and Aarhus Docklands. INCUBA was created as a merger of three former research institutions in 2007, and is an amalgamation of "Innovation Network Centre for University and Businesses of Aarhus" and the primary goals of the institution are to strengthen cooperation between research institutions and companies with consultancy and by raising capital for projects. The park is the first of its kind in Denmark.
