Curtis Baptist School (CBS) is a private 1-A Christian high school located in Augusta, Georgia, United States. It is a private school that has more than 300 students in the elementary, middle, and high school combined. The school colors are red and white and the school mascot is "Curtis the Crusader."

Springfield Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Augusta, Georgia was built in 1801 and is a significant historical building for its architecture, religious history, and African American heritage. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. It was built in the architectural style of a New England meetinghouse, which is rare in Georgia. It is the oldest church building extant in Augusta and is claimed to be one of the oldest Black congregations in the U.S. The 1801, Springfield Baptist Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Richmond County, Georgia in 1982, and the boundary of the National Register of Historic Places-listed site was increased in 1990.

John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School (DFA) is a public magnet school for the fine and performing arts located in downtown Augusta, Georgia, United States. It draws students in grades 6 through 12 throughout Richmond County. In addition to a basic curriculum of college preparatory and Advanced Placement academic courses, Davidson offers academic and fine arts courses in the areas of visual arts, music, chorus, dance, cinema production, and theatre. It has been recognized as a National Grammy Signature School, has been ranked as the #1 school in the state of Georgia, and has placed in the top 100 tier of Newsweek's "America's Best High Schools."

The Enterprise Mill is a historical residential and office complex along the Augusta Canal in Augusta, Georgia. Enterprise is located at the corner of Greene Street and 15th Street.

The Richmond County School System is an American public school system based in Augusta, Georgia. It is run by the Richmond County Board of Education which, under Article VIII, § V, Paragraph 2, requires that each school system be under the management and control of an elected board of education. As elected Constitutional officials of Georgia, the school board members are responsible for setting educational policies, employing school personnel, providing buildings and equipment, operating a transportation system, and disbursing school funds. The board of education meets in the Richmond County Board of Education building at 864 Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia. It serves consolidated Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia and the south Richmond County cities of Hephzibah and Blythe. The system has an enrollment of around 32,000 students, attending 36 elementary schools, ten middle schools, eight high schools, four magnet schools, and three other schools. The school board has its own police department which provides law enforcement services to all the district's schools.The Richmond County School System is in the third phase of a construction program that will renovate older schools and add new schools, particularly for its magnet program. This will include a fine arts elementary magnet school, a vocational magnet school, and second magnet traditional elementary school.On the most recent state-mandated testing of the academic achievement as well as college- and career-readiness of its students (2019 Georgia Milestones Assessment System-GMAS), the Richmond County School System was ranked among the bottom-ten of the 180 public school systems in Georgia.

Walton Rehabilitation Hospital is a non-profit rehabilitation center located in Augusta, Georgia, United States which has won numerous awards for the quality of its healthcare. The hospital was founded in 1988 and is one component of the Walton Rehabilitation Health System. This hospital offers both inpatient and outpatient programs to teens and adults and assesses disabling illnesses, stroke, head injuries, spinal injuries, and orthopedic injuries. Walton is the only specialized provider of rehabilitation in the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia. Its published mission is to "enhance the quality of life for people with acquired disabilities." Walton Rehabilitation Center cares for more stroke patients than any other hospital in Georgia each year. Transitional living services at Walton help brain injury patients' transition from inpatient rehab and help prepare them for readjusting to home life. More than 50% of Walton's nurses are CRRN-certified. Each physician at Walton is either board-certified and/or fellowship-trained. When it comes to patients, the main focus is on regaining movement, function, and independence. In addition to rehabilitation services, Walton offers Behavioral Medicine services.

The Butt Memorial Bridge is a road bridge in Augusta, Georgia that carries 15th Street over the Augusta Canal. It is dedicated to Major Archibald Willingham Butt, born in Augusta and a victim of the sinking of RMS Titanic. The bridge was erected in 1914 and dedicated by President William Howard Taft, a personal friend of Butt's. It is notable that the bridge was the first memorial erected to remember the Titanic disaster, and it stands today as the only memorial in Georgia dedicated to the disaster. The bridge is made of stone, featuring four pillars topped with bronze-banded globes placed over electric lights. Four lions with plaques adorn each side and end of the bridge, while lights are strung from one end of the bridge to the other. A memorial plaque is located on the center of the bridge, dedicated to Butt's memory. The bridge was designed by William Henry Deacy, architect and Nisbet Wingfield, civil engineer. The bridge was fabricated by W. W. Leland Company.

Meadow Garden is a historic house museum at 1320 Independence Drive in Augusta, Georgia. It was a home of Founding Father George Walton (1749–1804), one of Georgia's three signers of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Walton was later elected governor of Georgia and also served as a United States senator. Meadow Garden was saved by the Daughters of the American Revolution, who established it as a museum in 1901. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1981.

Augusta Cotton Exchange Building is a historic building in Augusta, Georgia. It was designed by Enoch William Brown and built in the mid-1880s during a cotton boom. The structure includes ornate details and ironwork and is considered High Victorian architecture. Materials for its construction were supplied locally by Charles F. Lombard's foundry. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 20, 1978. It is located on Reynolds Street. The exchange was organized for the cotton trade. It housed brokers and a trading floor. Women were excluded and off hours cockfights and Saturday football meetups took place.The building is part of the Augusta Downtown Historic District and Augusta Canal National Monument Heritage Area. Bill Moore of Aiken, South Carolina purchased and restored the building in 1988. The building has been used by the Augusta Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau as a Welcome Center and is now a branch of South State Bank.

The Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System is a public library system consisting of six branches serving the county of Richmond, Georgia,United States. The headquarters for the library system is the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library located in Augusta. The library system is a member of Public Information Network for Electronic Services, or PINES, a program of the Georgia Public Library Service that serves 300 member libraries covering 146 counties of Georgia. Any resident in a PINES supported library system has access to the system's collection of 10.6 million books. The library is also serviced by GALILEO, a program of the University System of Georgia which stands for "GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online". This program offers residents in supported libraries access to over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. It also boasts over 10,000 journal titles in full text.

The Lamar Building is a 17-story skyscraper in Augusta, Georgia. It was scheduled to be completed in 1916, but the Augusta Fire of 1916 forced crews to demolish the building and restart. It was finally completed in 1918. A penthouse level was added in 1976, designed by I. M. Pei. In July 2011, the architectural critic James Howard Kunstler labeled it his "Eyesore of the Month", saying the addition is reminiscent of a Darth Vader helmet.Pei's addition presaged the glass pyramid he designed for The Louvre in Paris.The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Fire insurance maps indicate a height of 165' (50 m) to the top of the roof at the 16th floor, just beneath the penthouse addition. It has been the tallest building in Augusta ever since it was built. The Marion Building stands next to the Lamar Building and has been called its "sister building".The Lamar Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
