Mainz-Bischofsheim station is the station of the town of Bischofsheim in the German state of Hesse on the Main Railway from Mainz to Frankfurt am Main. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The station is served by the S-Bahn and regional trains. The station was opened at its current location in 1904. Between 1930 and 1945, Bischofsheim was a district of the city of Mainz and, as a result, the station was renamed Mainz-Bischofsheim. In 1945, the American and French occupying authorities transferred Bischofsheim to American administration and several months later it became part of the new state of Hesse. Although Bischofsheim became a self-governing municipality again as a result, the station is still called Mainz-Bischofsheim.

Mainz-Kostheim is a district administered by the city of Wiesbaden, Germany. Its population is 14,381 (As of 2020). Mainz-Kostheim was formerly a district of the city of Mainz, until the public administration by the city of Wiesbaden was decided on 10 August 1945. The reason for this had been the easy control of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany, where the Rhine formed the border between the American sector and the French sector. Mainz-Kostheim faces the city of Mainz on the opposite shore of the Rhine river. In 1184 Frederick I, Holy Roman Emperor held one of the biggest diets of the Middle Ages at the Maaraue in Kostheim, the Diet of Pentecost. Occasion had been the promotion to Knighthood of is both sons Henry hand Frederic, Duke of Swabia. During the Siege of Mainz by Prussian and Austrian troops in the Napoleonic Wars Kostheim had been severely damaged several times. In the cause of the bombing of Mainz in World War II Mainz-Kostheim was subject to air raids. The Linde Group has been located in Kostheim before recent mergers, acquisitions and transition.

Mainz-Laubenheim is a southern quarter of Mainz and is located south of the A60 autobahn and west of the B9 highway on the banks of the Rhine.

It is located near the right bank of the river Main three miles above its confluence with the Rhine, as well as on the German Timber-Frame Road.

It rises as the White Main in the Fichtel Mountains of northeastern Bavaria and flows west through central Germany for 525 kilometres (326 mi) to meet the Rhine below Rüsselsheim, Hesse. The cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden are close to the confluence. The largest cities on the Main are Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach am Main and Würzburg. It is the longest river lying entirely in Germany (if the Weser-Werra are considered separate).

Mainz Charterhouse is a former Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, in Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, demolished in 1790–1792 but still marked by the street-name "Karthaus".
