Pao Fa Temple (Chinese: 寶法寺; pinyin: Bǎofǎ Sì; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Pó-hoat-sī) is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries and Buddhist temples in the United States. It is located in Irvine, California. It mainly attracts Taiwanese American, Chinese American and Vietnamese American Buddhists, including many who are students at the University of California, Irvine. The Taiwan-born Venerable Jen-Yi (真一法師) is the founder and abbot of Pao Fa Temple. In 1990 he accepted the advice from the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas to build the temple in Irvine. At a cost of $5 million, the temple was built on a former site of a Pacific Bell building and it was opened in late 2002. Pao Fa Temple is the host of many Buddhist activities, including celebration of the Buddha's Birthday, various offerings, and many other ceremonies including chanting and meditation. It also hosts a summer camp.

Peters Canyon Wash is a tributary of San Diego Creek in central Orange County in the U.S. state of California. About 11.8 miles (19.0 km) long north-south, the wash, now mostly channelized, flows in a relatively straight course southwest from the 55-acre (0.22 km2) Peters Canyon Reservoir near the Orange/Tustin borderline to its confluence with San Diego Creek near the Irvine Civic Center Plaza. Less than 5 miles (8.0 km) below this confluence, San Diego Creek empties into Upper Newport Bay. The largest tributary of Peters Canyon is the Santa Ana Channel (not to be confused with the Santa Ana-Delhi Channel, which flows directly into Upper Newport Bay.)

Rancho San Joaquin, the combined Rancho Cienega de las Ranas and Rancho Bolsa de San Joaquin, was a 48,803-acre (197.50 km2) Mexican land grant in the San Joaquin Hills, within present-day Orange County, California. It was granted to José Antonio Andres Sepúlveda. In Spanish Cienega de las Ranas means "Marsh of the Frogs" and Bolsa means "Pocket", and usually in reference to wetlands landforms.

Marine Corps Air Station Tustin (IATA: NTK, ICAO: KNTK, FAA LID: NTK) is a former United States Navy and United States Marine Corps air station, located in Tustin, California.

The Irvine Police Department is the local law enforcement agency of the city of Irvine, California, United States. The department's jurisdiction includes the entire city of Irvine, which covers nearly 70 square miles (180 km2) and a population of over 270,000, as well as the Orange County Great Park. It also supplements the jurisdiction of the University of California, Irvine, Police Department, whose jurisdiction includes the University of California, Irvine campus and surrounding areas of the city.

Tustin Legacy is a 1,600-acre (6.5 km2) planned community in Tustin, California being developed on the former Marine Corps Air Station Tustin. The project, under construction, will include parks, a commercial retail center and various densities of housing, for a total of 4,600 units. The district includes 4,049 units of housing within Tustin's jurisdiction, and over nine million square feet of commercial and institutional development.

The Ayn Rand Institute: The Center for the Advancement of Objectivism, commonly known as the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit think tank in Santa Ana, California, that promotes Objectivism, the philosophy developed by Ayn Rand. The organization was established in 1985, three years after Rand's death, by Ed Snider and Leonard Peikoff, Rand's legal heir. ARI has several educational and outreach programs, which include providing intellectuals for public appearances, supporting Objectivist campus clubs, supplying Rand's writings to schools and professors, assisting overseas Objectivist institutions, organizing annual conferences and running the Objectivist Academic Center. The institute's stated goal is to "spearhead a cultural renaissance that will reverse the anti-reason, anti-individualism, anti-freedom, anti-capitalist trends in today's culture".

Jamboree Road is a 15.8-mile (25.4 km) long major arterial road through Orange County, California, running through the cities of Newport Beach, Irvine, Tustin, and Orange.

Tustin is a Metrolink train station in Tustin, California, United States. The station is located in a shopping plaza at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Edinger Avenue. Between October 2010 and September 2011, the parking lot was closed to all cars to facilitate the construction of a five-level, 733-space parking structure. When combined with the 91 surface parking spaces, the station has 824 parking spaces, nearly tripling available parking on site.OCTA Routes 70, 90, 472 and 473 serve this station. The City of Irvine's iShuttle also services the station during peak commute hours. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner passes through the station at 90 mph (140 km/h) and does not stop in Tustin. The nearest stations served by Amtrak are Irvine and Santa Ana.

California Intercontinental University (CIU) is a for-profit online university based in Irvine, California. It was established in 1996.

The Westcliff University (WU) is a private, for-profit university in Irvine, California. Founded in 1993, it offers bachelor, master's, and doctorate degrees as well as certificate programs and continuing education courses. WU is a California Benefit Corporation, obligating it to pursue the public benefit by always considering the impact of its business decisions on its employees, suppliers, the environment, and the community at large.

Woodbridge High School (WHS) is a public high school located in Irvine, California, United States, serving grades 9–12. Woodbridge is in the Irvine Unified School District. Founded in 1980, it has an approximate enrollment of 2,400 students. Greg Cops was the founding principal and retired in 2002. The current administrative staff as of 2020 includes principal Christopher Krebs and assistant principals Carlene McCurry, Angela Pimentel, and Linzi Gorzycki. Woodbridge has had many improvements and renovations. A recent example is the new Aquatic Center which contains a 50 meter by 25 yard swimming pool, portable bleachers, restroom facilities and locker rooms. A new theater and a new synthetic track and turf field has also been constructed as of May 2021. Of note, the 1989 movie Gleaming the Cube starring Christian Slater was filmed partially at Woodbridge High School.
