Kaluzhskaya (Russian: Калужская) was a temporary station of the Moscow Metro on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line and was in operation from 1964 to 1974. It was housed in the then easternmost bay of the Kaluzhskaya Depot in southwestern Moscow and was replaced by the current Kaluzhskaya station which was opened in 1974. It is one of two abandoned stations on the Moscow Metro (the other one being the old Pervomayskaya station). The depot building was later expanded eastward; one of the former platform tracks has been removed, the other houses trains at night, and the platform is used as a storage room.

Kaluzhskaya (Russian: Калужская) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It is named after the Russian town of Kaluga. Kaluzhskaya opened on 12 August 1974, replacing a temporary station of the same name (located in a service bay of the nearby Kaluzhskoe Depot) that had been operating since 1964. The new station was built to the column tri-span design with tapered octagonal columns in place of the usual square ones. Also the step of the columns was extended from 4 metres to 6.5, and the height of the ceiling raised. The columns are faced with pink Baikal marble, the walls are tiled with white ceramic and decorated with metallic artworks (works of A. Leonteva and M. Shmakova); the floor is laid with grey granite. The architects of the station were N. Demchinskiy and Yuliya Kolesnikova. Passengers can transfer to Vorontsovskaya station of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. The entrances to the station are spread out along Profsoyuznaya Street north of Obruchev street as well as onto the Academicial Keldysh square. Its daily passenger traffic is 131,000.

Vorontsovskaya (Russian: Воронцовская) is a metro station on Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro, between Novatorskaya and Zyuzino. The name of the station derives from Vorontsovsky Park. The station was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya.The station is located close to Kaluzhskaya station, and interchange is in operation.

South-Western Administrative Okrug (Russian: Ю́го-За́падный администрати́вный о́круг, romanized: Yugo-Zapadny administrativny okrug), or Yugo-Zapadny Administrative Okrug, is one of the twelve high-level territorial divisions (administrative okrugs) of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 1,362,751, up from 1,179,211 recorded during the 2002 Census.

Profsoyuznaya Street (name since 7 February 1958) is a street in the South-Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow in the Akademichesky, Konkovo, Obruchevsky, Tyoply Stan, Cheryomushki, and Yasenevo districts. The street runs from Ho Chi Minh Square to the Moscow Ring Road. Further beyond the Moscow Ring Road, it continues as the federal highway A130 to Troitsk, Obninsk, and Roslavl and is called Kaluzhskoye Highway. Profsoyuznaya Street intersects Dmitry Ulyanov Street (Ho Chi Minh Square at the intersection), Kedrov, Krzhizhanovsky, Nakhimovsky Prospekt (Josip Broz Tito Square at the intersection), Garibaldi, Nametkin, Obruchev, Butlerov, Miklouho-Maclay Streets (Martin Luther King Square at the intersection), Ostrovityanov Streets; to the left of Profsoyuznaya Street, General Antonov Street (between Butlerova and Miklukho-Maklaya Streets), Sanatornaya Alley leading to the Uzkoye estate, Novoyasenevsky Prospekt branch off from Profsoyuznaya Street; on the right, Tyoply Stan and (in the immediate vicinity of the Moscow Ring Road) General Tyulenev streets merge into it. Profsoyuznaya Street is one of the main thoroughfares of the south-west of Moscow. From the Konkovo metro station to the intersection with Akademika Kapitsa Street, it also acts as a border between the Konkovo and Tyoply Stan districts.

The Russian State University of Justice is a university that trains the members and candidates of the judiciary (judges and court officials) of Russia. Until 2014, it was the Russian Academy of Justice, which was founded in 1998 after a decree from the president of the Russian Federation. The word for "justice" in its name is правосудия (pravosudiya).

This enclave of scientific research is officially known as Astro Space Center of PN Lebedev Physics Institute, (ASC LPI, Russian: Астрокосмический центр Физического института Академии Наук) and is under the purview of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Generally speaking, the space center's mission focuses on astrophysics, which includes cosmology. The emphasis is on accomplishing basic research in this science. The research leads into exploring the composition, and structure of astronomical objects, interstellar and interplanetary space along with exploring how these evolved.

Cheryomushki District (Russian: райо́н Черёмушки, derived from "черёмуха", meaning "bird cherry tree"), formerly Brezhnevsky District, is a district of South-Western Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: 102,619 (2010 Census); 89,264 (2002 Census).The district is delimited by Nakhimovsky Avenue (north), Obrucheva Street (south), Sevastopolsky Avenue (east), Profsoyuznaya Street, and Vlasova Street (west). The district is mostly residential, with an industrial area near Kaluzhskaya metro station. It houses the old Gazprom headquarters.

The Russian Space Research Institute (Russian: Институт космических исследований Российской академии наук, Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, SRI RAS, Russian abbreviation: ИКИ РАН, IKI RAN) is the leading organization of the Russian Academy of Sciences on space exploration to benefit fundamental science. It was formerly known as the Space Research Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Russian abbr.: ИКИ АН СССР, IKI AN SSSR). It is usually known by the shorter name Space Research Institute and especially by the initialism IKI. The institute is located in Moscow with a staff of 289 scientists. It conducts scientific research in the fields of astrophysics, planetary science, solar physics, Sun-Earth relations, cosmic plasma, and geophysics. IKI also develops and tests space technologies in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Federal Space Agency.

Zyuzino is a Moscow Metro station of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. It was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya.

Konkovo District (Russian: Коньково райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of South-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 7.179 square kilometers (2.772 sq mi). Population: 97,847 (2017 est.).It is located in the south of the city, along the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya (orange) metro line.

Novye Cheryomushki (Russian: Новые Черёмушки. English: New Cheryomushki) is a train station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened as the final segment of the Kaluzhskiy radius on 13 October 1962, and served as a terminus for two years.
