Monument to the heroes of Perekop (Russian: Памятник героям Перекопа) is a memorial sign installed in Moscow on Perekopskaya street near the intersection with Sevastopol Avenue on November 15, 1972. The monument is dedicated to the Siege of Perekop during the Russian Civil War in the autumn of 1920 and the Crimean Offensive by the Red Army in the spring of 1944. The memorial sign is a wall of red granite standing on two granite blocks depicting an image of a Red Army man in Budyonovka and a soldier wearing a helmet. On the left part, the inscription "Heroes of Perekop. 1920-1944" is written. On the opposite side, divisions which participated in the battles for the dig in 1920 and 1944 are listed. The monument is installed on an open area lined with light plates and framed flower beds.The monument was constructed by the initiative and means of students of the neighboring school No. 531 (now the structural subdivision No. 2 of the school No. 554), where the history of the heroes of Perekop was studied for a long time. The monument is made in accordance to the sketch of the school student Vadim Ermolaev. The creation of the memorial was also attended by the architect VL Voskresensky and the head of the school circle of fine arts Yu. S. Zimin.The monument belongs to the category of "urban sculpture". Annually on Victory Day, flowers are placed on the monument.

Population: 102,619 (2010 Census); 89,264 (2002 Census).The district is delimited by Nakhimovsky Avenue (north), Obrucheva Street (south), Sevastopolsky Avenue (east), Profsoyuznaya Street, and Vlasova Street (west). The district is mostly residential, with an industrial area near Kaluzhskaya metro station. It houses the old Gazprom headquarters.

The Trade Unions' Equestrian Complex (now Equestrian Complex «Bitsa» , Russian: Битца) is an equestrian venue located near Bitsa Park in the South District of Moscow city, Russia. During the 1980 Summer Olympics, it hosted the riding and running portions of the modern pentathlon events and all of the equestrian events except individual jumping, which was held at the main venue, Grand Arena of the Central Lenin Stadium. Its construction began in 1977 before the XXII Moscow Olympic Games. July 4, 1980 marks the official opening of the complex. The venue consisted of 45 ha (110 acres).

The Central Economic Mathematical Institute (Russian: Центральный экономико-математический институт (ЦЭМИ)) of the Russian Academy of Sciences is an economic research institute located in Moscow. It focuses on economic theory, mathematical economics and econometrics. The CEMI was established in 1963 as an institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, superseding the Laboratory of Economics and Mathematical Methods which had been founded by Vasily Sergeevich Nemchinov in 1958. In 1964 a branch of the institute was created in Tallinn, and in 1966 a Leningrad branch was established."When the Institute was founded in 1963, is main goal was an "introduction on the mathematical methods and computers in the practice of planning, creation of the theory of the optimal control of the national economy". In fact, the initial founding vision of the Institute was more ambitious. Of six founding research objectives mentioned by Fedorenko in his 1964, three of them directly bore on the "development of a unified system of economic information", the "design and creation of a unified state network of computer centers", and "Derivation of specialized planning and management systems based on mathematical methods and computer technology." Although its failure has since obscured this history, the Institute was initially meant to be the leading organization charged with creating a nationwide economic information network.CEMI headquarters features an alto-relievo mosaic composition of a Möbius strip on its facade, created by architect Leonid Pavlov and painter/monumentalists V. Vasiltsov and E. Zharenova in 1976.

Hinkson Christian Academy (HCA; Russian: Школа им. Хинксона) is a private Christian coeducational day school located in the South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Ширшова Российской академии наук (ИО РАН) or Институт океанологии им. П. П. Ширшова РАН) is the premier research institution for ocean, climate, and earth science in Russia. It was established in 1946 and is part of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is headquartered in Moscow. The institute is named after Pyotr Shirshov, who founded it in 1946.

The Institute of World Economy and International Relations (Russian: Институт мировой экономики и международных отношений), or IMEMO, is an independent research institute based in Moscow, Russia. On August 2015 the Institute has changed its name to the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations to commemorate the name of its former director academician Yevgeny Primakov, who led the Institute from 1985–1989. Founded in 1956 as a successor to the earlier Institute of World Economy and Politics (1925–1948), the institute is a non-profit organization acting within the Charter of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, INION RAN (Russian: Институт научной информации по общественным наукам РАН, ИНИОН) is a major center for research in social studies and humanities. The research center was created in 1969 as a successor to the Russian Academy's Fundamental Library of Social Sciences, which was established in 1918.
