Høje Taastrup station

Høje-Taastrup Kommune is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 78 km² (30 mi²), and has a total population of 55,258 (1. January 2023). It was formed by the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, and its 1974 adjustment, by merging the parish municipalities of Høje Taastrup, Sengeløse, the Fløng part of Hvedstrup-Fløng and the Reerslev part of Reerslev-Vindinge. Since 1 January 2006 the mayor of the municipality has been Michael Ziegler, a member of the Conservative People's Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti) political party.

Taastrup Water Tower is a defunct water tower in Taastrup, a western suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark. The distinctive structure now serves as an observation tower and local landmark, readily visible when approaching Copenhagen from the west along Roskildevej.

Benzonsdal is a manor house located at Torslunde, south of Taastrup, in the northern part of Ishøj Municipality, some 20 kilometres west of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been owned by members of the noble Lerche family since 1853. The main building is from 1856.

Taastrup (or Tåstrup) (Danish pronunciation: [ˈtsʰɒstʁɔp]) is a Danish railway town or/and suburb of Copenhagen - 18 km west of Copenhagens city centre. The town forms a twin urban area with neighbouring suburb Høje Taastrup, Taastrup rising since 1859 and Høje Taastrup rising west of the town, since the 1970's. The town/suburb development has engulfed the villages of Taastrup Valby, Høje Taastrup, Kragehave and Klovtofte, although Høje Taastrup still has a preserved village character around Høje Taastrup Church. The town is the administrative seat of Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Region Hovedstaden; the seat placed in Taastrup first and since moving to Høje- Taastrup in the beginning of the 1980's. In 2023 a new town hall was opened on 14th February. The town is growing closer to the town of Hedehusene, both towns developing towards each other, and both situated in the municipality. The population on 1 January 2023 was 36,193 (excluding Hedehusene) .Taastrup took its name from its rise on the lands north of the village of Taastrup Valby. Taastrup Valby means "Valby by (Høje) Taastrup", named "Taastrup Valby" to avoid confusion with other locations like Valby.

Taastrup station (Danish pronunciation: [ˈtsʰʌˌstʁɔp stæˈɕoˀn]) is a Copenhagen S-train railway station serving the railway town/suburb of Taastrup west of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on the Taastrup radial of Copenhagen's S-train network.

Sengeløse is a town in the Høje-Taastrup Municipality in northeast Zealand, Denmark, about three kilometers northwest of Taastrup. As of 2022, it has a population of 1,491.

Taastrup Campus is a university campus operated by University of Copenhagen (UCPH) in Taastrup on the western outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The campus is home to space-consuming activities of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (including the University Teaching Hospital for Large Animals) and the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences whose Section for Crop Sciences along with experimental fields, greenhouses and an extensive pometum.

Ishøj Municipality (Danish: Ishøj Kommune) is a municipality (Danish: kommune) in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers 26 km², with a total population of 23,457 (1. January 2023). Its mayor is Merete Amdisen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. As of 2023, it has the highest share of people with a foreign-background in Denmark, with 44.2% having a foreign-background. 55.8% has a Danish-background, 16.3% Turkish, 5.6% Pakistani and 22.3% have another background (Polish, Nepali, Iraqi, Romanian, Indian, Moroccan and Bulgarian, among others).The main town, and the site of the municipal council, is the town of Ishøj, which has one of Scandinavia's biggest housing projects - Vejleåparken (formerly Ishøjplanen). Other places are the villages of Ishøj Landsby and Torslunde. Neighboring municipalities are Vallensbæk to the east, Høje-Taastrup to the north and west, and Greve to the south. Ishøj Municipality was not merged with other municipalities on 1 January 2007 as part of nationwide Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007).

Gjeddesdal is a manor house located in Greve Municipality, some 20 kilometres west of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate was created in the 1670s but the current main building was built after a fire in 1916.
