Bøtø Nor Pumping Station was constructed in 1871 in connection with the reclamation of Bøtø Nor on southern Falster, Denmark. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1970. It now houses an exhibition about the enterprise and the 1872 Baltic Sea flood.

The Gedser wind turbine is located near Gedser in the south of the Danish island of Falster. It was constructed by the engineer Johannes Juul in 1957 for the SEAS (Sydsjællands Elektricitets Aktieselskab) electricity company with support from the Marshall Plan. Its innovative design was a major breakthrough in the development of wind turbines.

Nykøbing Strandhuse is a coastal village and summer house development located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of Marielyst and 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) southeast of Væggerløse on the Danish island of Falster. As of 2025, it has a population of 290.

Væggerløse is a town some 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of Nykøbing Falster on the Danish island of Falster. It has large housing developments and until 2006 was the administrative centre for the now defunct Sydfalster Municipality. In January 2023 it had a population of 1,330. Standing on a hilltop, Væggerløse Church dates from the late Romanesque period. It has early 16th century frescos depicting the Supper at Emmaus.

Until 1 January 2007 Sydfalster was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former Storstrøm County on the southern end of the island of Falster in south Denmark.

Kalvø is a small uninhabited island in the southern part of Guldborgsund, the strait between the Danish islands of Lolland and Falster. Its highest point is 3 metres (9.8 ft) above sea level. The 29.4 hectare protected area of Kalvø-Hasselø was created by Conservation Order in 1980, and access is prohibited during the bird breeding season.

Gedser is a town at the southern tip of the Danish island of Falster in the Guldborgsund Municipality in Sjælland region. It is the southernmost town in Denmark, and also the southernmost point of Scandinavia and the Nordic countries. The town has a population of 632 (1 January 2025). It is an important port town on the Baltic Sea.

Marielyst is a small town and seaside resort some 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. Its long sandy beach has led to an extensive summer house development with some 6,000 holiday homes. As of 2025, it has a population of 633.

Hasselø Plantage is a coastal village located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. As of 2023, it has a population of 225.

Fuglsang Art Museum (Danish: Fuglsang Kunstmuseum) is an art museum set in rural surroundings in Guldborgsund Municipality on the island of Lolland in Denmark. It is part of the Fuglsang Cultural Centre. The museum features Danish art with an emphasis on artists and motifs of local provenance. The museum is located in a purpose-built building, designed by Tony Fretton. Noted for its integration with the surrounding architecture and landscape, the museum building won a 2009 RIBA European Award and was short-listed for the Stirling Prize the same year.

The King Frederik IX bridge (Danish: Kong Frederik den 9's Bro; named for King Frederik IX of Denmark) is a combined road and railway bridge carrying the Danish national road 9 as well as Sydbanen and Lollandsbanen railway lines across the Guldborgsund strait between the islands of Falster and Lolland in Denmark. It joins the larger part of the city of Nykøbing on Falster with the smaller part of the town on Lolland. The rail link is a part of the railway section of the Fugleflugtslinjen transport corridor between Copenhagen, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany. The bridge is 295 metres (968 ft) and 33.3 metres (109 ft) wide. It is a bascule bridge of beam design. The bridge carries four lanes of vehicle traffic and a single railway track.
