Gösting Castle (German: Burg Gösting) is a ruined castle in Gösting, the 13th borough in the northwest of the Styrian capital Graz, Austria.

Eggenberg Palace (German: Schloss Eggenberg) in Graz, is the most significant Baroque palace complex in the Austrian province of Styria. With its preserved accouterments, the extensive scenic gardens, as well as some special collections from the Universalmuseum Joanneum housed in the palace and surrounding park, Schloss Eggenberg ranks among the most valuable cultural treasures of Austria. Eggenberg Palace is situated at an elevation of 381 meters on the Western edge of the city. Its architectural design and the still visible imprint of centuries of history continue to bear witness to the vicissitude and patronage of the one-time mightiest dynasty in Styria, the House of Eggenberg. In 2010, the significance of Schloss Eggenberg was recognised with an expansion to the listing of the Graz Historic Old Town among the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. Surrounded by walls, with a huge portal facing West, the palace is located in the Eggenberg district of Graz and can be reached by tram. The northern corner of the palace grounds features the Planetary Garden and Lapidarium of Roman stonework as well as the entrance to the new Archeology Museum,[1] which houses the Cult Wagon of Strettweg. At ground level, the palace houses a numismatic collection (Coin Cabinet) located in the former rooms of Balthasar Eggenberger, owner of the imperial minting license and operations in the Late Middle Ages. On the upper level, the Alte Galerie encompasses a large array of paintings, sculptures, and other works of art from the medieval era through the early modern period, spanning five centuries of European art history.

Eggenberg (German: [ˈɛgn̩ˌbɛʁk]) is the 14th city district of Graz in the Austrian province of Styria. It borders to the districts of Lend and Gries in the east and to the Plabutsch mountain in the west. The name originates from the Eggenberg palace and its founding family the House of Eggenberg.

The Pilgrimage Church Maria Straßengel (German: Wallfahrtskirche Maria Straßengel) is a fourteenth century Gothic church located on a hill overlooking the market town of Judendorf-Straßengel in the district of Graz-Umgebung, a few kilometres northwest of Graz, Austria on the right bank of the Mur river. The town was first mentioned in the year AD 860 as Strazinolum.The fourteenth century Gothic pilgrimage church was constructed between 1346 and 1355, and contains an important high altar. Once surrounded by fortified walls and guarded by a three-story tower (1355–66) with elaborate stonemasonry, the church still retains 77 sections of its fourteenth century Gothic stained-glass windows. The original plans for the high altar in white marble (1885) were originally drawn by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach in 1687 but never carried out. The pilgrimage church contains a piece of tree root shaped like Jesus on the cross. This root is not displayed to the public, but shown to people on request.

The Strettweg cult wagon, or Strettweg sacrificial wagon, or Strettweg chariot is a bronze cult wagon from ca. 600 BC, which was found as part of a princely grave of the Hallstatt culture in Strettweg near Judenburg, Austria in 1851. Besides the wagon, other grave goods, like jewelry, bronze amphorae, iron weapons, and horse tack were found. The wagon consists of a square, open-worked base plate with four spoked wheels. A female figure approx. 32 cm high extending her hands to touch the base of a large bowl with tall, X-shaped supports. Expert analysis has concluded that the bowl cannot be conclusively proven to originally have been part of the cult wagon and may be a later addition. The wagon also contains numerous human figures, both standing and mounted, as well as animals similar to deer and horses. The scene has been interpreted as a sacrifice. The wagon presumably served as a cult object for the consumption of a libation. The wagon was restored in 2009 and is on display in the Universalmuseum Joanneum at Eggenberg Palace, Graz. A copy is on display in the museum in Judenburg. According to Marjeta Šašel-Kos (2000), "A deer goddess similar to Artemis must have played an important role in pre-Celtic Noricum, as is indicated by the cult cart from Strettweg, from c. 600 B.C., which represents a goddess (or her priestess) who received deer as a sacrifice, i.e. a kind of a 'Great Nature Goddess'."

Since 2015 Gratwein-Straßengel (German: [ɡʁatˈvaɪn ʃ͡tʁasˈɛŋgl̩]) is a market town in the Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. The town took effect as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, from the end of 2014 with the merging of the former municipalities Gratwein, Judendorf-Straßengel, Eisbach and Gschnaidt. The merger made the market town population to be the 6th-largest in Styria.A petition by the mayor of Eisbach, to the constitutional court, against the merger was not successful. Likewise a petition from the town Gschnaidt was not successful.

Judendorf-Straßengel (German: [ˈjuːdn̩ˌdɔɐ̯f ʃ͡tʁasˈɛŋgl̩]) is a former municipality in the district of Graz-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Styria. Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, it is part of the municipality Gratwein-Straßengel.

The Graz International Bilingual School (GIBS) is an Austrian bilingual (English/German) university preparatory semi-independent charter school Gymnasium in Graz, Austria. The school mainly focuses on languages, offering German, English, Russian, Latin, French and Spanish. Students graduate with the Austrian Matura, the IB Diploma or with both, assuming that they meet the criteria necessary. In grade 5, or the students' first year, students are required to take both German and English. In grade 8, the students must choose between French and Spanish. They must choose between Spanish, French, Latin or Russian in grade 10. The same language cannot be chosen twice (eg. Spanish in both grade 8 and 10). Most students graduate from GIBS with a total of 4 languages.

Gösting (German: [ɡœstiŋ]; from Slavic gostinca = hostel, or gozd = mountain forest) is the 13th city district of Graz, in the Austrian province of Styria. It is situated in the north-west of the city between the river Mur and the Plabutsch mountain and the range north of it on which the ruined Gösting Castle is located.

Wetzelsdorf (German: [ˈvεt͡sl̩sˌdɔɐ̯f]) is the 15th city district of Graz, Austria. It is located in the west part of the city between the districts of Eggenberg to the north and Straßgang to the south. About 14,100 people live there in an area of 5.77 km².The district which originally belonged to Eggenberg developed along the Austrian Southern Railway and the Alten Poststraße as a commercial area with working class quarters. After the so-called "Anschluß" in 1938 Wetzelsdorf became part of the city of Graz, as other surrounding areas of the city did as well. There are a number of institutions in the district for example the provincial police center of Styria, a provincial school for gardeners, several churches, several military facilities and a Jewish cemetery. Concerning the traffic connections there is the Wetzelsdorf station of the Graz-Köflacher railway, the city bus lines 31, 33, 62 and 64, and the tram line 7, which ends at the northern border of the district. Directly on the western district border the 555 m high 'Ölberg' hill is situated in a forest area. Below this hill the Pyhrn motorway (A 9) runs along in the Plabutsch tunnel.
