Locke is a town in Cayuga County, New York, United States. The population was 1,877 at the 2020 census. The town was named after John Locke, an English philosopher, and is the birthplace of Millard Fillmore, 13th President of the United States. Locke is on the southern border of Cayuga County and is southeast of Auburn.

Groton is a town in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 5,950 at the 2010 census. The name is taken from Groton, Massachusetts.The Town of Groton contains a village, also called Groton. The town is in the northeast corner of the county and is northeast of Ithaca. As well as a village, the Town of Groton also includes a former school, Groton High School, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Groton High School is a historic high school building located at Groton in Tompkins County, New York. It was built in 1919–1920 and features Classical Revival details, such as six monumental engaged Doric order columns. The front block of the building is three stories in height with a rear projection set back and reduced in height to two, then one, stories and forming a T-shaped configuration. The building ceased being used for educational purposes in 1975. The current high school campus is located in the south of the Village. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Groton is a village in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 2,363 at the 2010 census. The Village of Groton is near the center of the Town of Groton and is northeast of Ithaca and west of Cortland.

Groton High School, officially Groton Junior/Senior High School, is the only high school in the Groton Central School District. It serves the Village and Town of Groton, Tompkins County, New York, and extending into areas of Cortland and Cayuga Counties. Its previous building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

West Dryden Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Dryden in Tompkins County, New York. It is a two-story, frame church structure built in 1832 in the Federal style. It was remodeled during 1870–1890. It features a tower with an octagonal belfry. Since 1966 it has been used as the West Dryden Community Center.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Rogues' Harbor Inn, formerly known as the Elm Grove Inn and Central Exchange Hotel, is a historic inn and tavern located in Lansing, New York. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and is located on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, approximately eight miles from Ithaca. The building is a three-story brick structure built in the Greek Revival style between 1830 and 1842 by major general Daniel Minier. It's a 40-foot-deep by 80-foot-wide rectangular on a stucco-coated fieldstone foundation with a gable roof. The building features a full-width porch with a roof supported by turned posts. The author Grace Miller White used it as the inspiration for the setting for her novel Judy of Rogue's Harbor, which was made into a film of the same name in 1920.

South Lansing is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New York, United States. The CDP includes the hamlets of South Lansing, Terpening Corners, and Asbury. The area was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The community is in northern Tompkins County, southeast of the geographic center of the town of Lansing. It is the location of the Lansing Town Hall. New York State Route 34 passes through the community, leading north 30 miles (48 km) to Auburn and south through the village of Lansing 7 miles (11 km) to Ithaca. State Route 34B joins Route 34 briefly in South Lansing but heads east 7 miles (11 km) to Route 38 between Groton and Freeville, while to the west it soon turns and runs parallel to Route 34, rejoining it in Fleming.

Lansing High School is a public high school in Lansing, New York, United States. The school is located on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, approximately nine miles from Ithaca. Lansing High School has an enrollment of approximately 375 students, with slightly under one hundred students in each graduating class. The school district consists of one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school. Lansing High School's colors are blue and gold, and the school mascot is the bobcat, otherwise known as the Lansing Bobcats.
