Old Connaught House is an 18th-century house located in Rathmichael, Dublin, Ireland. Though originally built for bishop William Gore, shortly after his death in 1784 it was leased by William Plunket (later Baron Plunket). The house was occupied by the Plunket family for several generations, before being used by the Congregation of Christian Brothers as a novitiate school in the mid 20th century.The house remained unoccupied for several years before being leased to a non-profit equestrian organisation. It was sold in 2000, renovated, and is now a development of residential apartments.

St Gerard's School is a lay Catholic co-educational independent day school in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. A fee-charging school, it is administered by a Board of Governors as a charitable trust. As of 2019, the student population was about 770 including its Senior School, Junior School, and the Montessori. In 2019, St. Gerard's School was named top school in County Wicklow, and 29th in Ireland.

Elian's Dublin was a private Spanish international school in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, 18 kilometres (11 mi) from the centre of Dublin. The Spanish government recognised it as a Centro Privado Español en el Extranjero, and it offered primary through bachillerato (high school) classes. A part of the IALE Elian's education group, it was located in Jubilee Hall, a castle in Bray.

Woodbrook College is an Edmund Rice, co-educational secondary school located in Woodbrook, Bray, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. The grounds are located on the Dublin Road, just north of Bray. Although, officially, it is over the County Dublin border, it usually referred to as being in County Wicklow and part of Bray. The former building was opened on 5 September 1956, and accommodated approximately 400 students.The school celebrated its fiftieth year in 2006, thus marking its Golden Jubilee. This led to a presidential visit.

Ardmore Studios, in Bray, County Wicklow, is Irelands's only four wall studio.It opened in 1958 under the management of Emmet Dalton and Louis Elliman. Since then, it has evolved through many managements and owners. It has been the base for many successful Irish and international productions, including The Spy Who Came in from the Cold to Fair City, Braveheart, My Left Foot and Veronica Guerin. After the lapse of its initial business plan in the early 1970s, the studio became the government-backed National Film Studios of Ireland, under the management of Sheamus Smith. During Smith's tenure, notable movies based there included Michael Crichton's The First Great Train Robbery, starring Sean Connery. When government funding was withdrawn in the early 1980s, a consortium led by Tara Productions (Ireland) Limited, among whose partners were producer Morgan O'Sullivan and writer Michael Feeney Callan, and MTM Hollywood acquired the studios in November 1986. O'Sullivan then spearheaded a campaign to attract major international films to Ireland – a strategy Dalton and his partner, the entrepreneur Louis Elliman, had pioneered in the 1950s – and succeeded in securing important co-production investment which revived the studios during the 1990s. O'Sullivan's successor as managing director of the renamed Ardmore Studios was the accountant Kevin Moriarity. In 1990, the MTM shareholding was sold to Ardmore International Ltd., a company owned equally by Paul McGuinness and Ossie Kilkenny. Ardmore Studios had several successful years from 2006 to 2010 during the filming of The Tudors and Camelot. However, from 2011 to 2013 the studios suffered losses, and in 2013 Siún Ní Raghallaigh was appointed CEO. She implemented immediate cost cuts and restructured the company to enable it to compete more effectively with a lower cost base. The studios are now operating successfully.

Shanganagh Cemetery is a cemetery in south County Dublin, in the administrative county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown just to the south of Shankill. The cemetery consists of two areas, on the Dublin Road, the other to the east, on the western side of the railway between Shankill and Bray. Both areas are bounded by Shanganagh Park (formerly Shanganagh Junction, which linked to the Harcourt Street line) to the north. It has an area of about 50 acres (200,000 m2) and is a sister cemetery to Deans Grange Cemetery. It holds the graves of Irish Taoisigh (Prime Minister of Ireland) Garret FitzGerald (1926–2011) and Albert Reynolds (1932–2014).

Diarmuid Larkin (1 April 1918 – 25 June 1989) was an Irish artist and art educationist, who was predominantly a painter of landscapes. Becoming more abstract over time, his work reflected the warmth and sensitivity of his own personality.

Bray Town Hall (Irish: Halla Baile Bhré) is a municipal building in Main Street, Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. The building which used to be the offices and meeting place of Bray Urban District Council now accommodates a fast-food restaurant.

Bray (Irish: Bré [bʲɾʲeː]) is a coastal town in north County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated about 20 km (12 mi) south of Dublin city centre on the east coast. It has a population of 33,512 making it the tenth largest urban area within Ireland (at the 2022 census). Bray is home to Ardmore Studios, and some light industry is located in the town, with some business and retail parks on its southern periphery. Commuter links between Bray and Dublin are provided by rail, Dublin Bus and the M11 and M50 motorways. Parts of the town's northern outskirts are in County Dublin.Originally developed as a planned resort town in the 19th century, Bray's popularity as a seaside resort was serviced by the Dublin and Kingstown Railway, which was extended to Bray in 1854. During the late 20th century, the town's use as a resort declined when foreign travel became an option for holiday-makers. However, day-trippers continued to come to Bray during the summer months.
