Shanganagh Cemetery is a cemetery in south County Dublin, in the administrative county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown just to the south of Shankill. The cemetery consists of two areas, on the Dublin Road, the other to the east, on the western side of the railway between Shankill and Bray. Both areas are bounded by Shanganagh Park (formerly Shanganagh Junction, which linked to the Harcourt Street line) to the north. It has an area of about 50 acres (200,000 m2) and is a sister cemetery to Deans Grange Cemetery. It holds the graves of Irish Taoisigh (Prime Minister of Ireland) Garret FitzGerald (1926–2011) and Albert Reynolds (1932–2014).

Diarmuid Larkin (1 April 1918 – 25 June 1989) was an Irish artist and art educationist, who was predominantly a painter of landscapes. Becoming more abstract over time, his work reflected the warmth and sensitivity of his own personality.

Woodbrook Golf Club is a golf club located in Shankill, Dublin, Ireland. It was established as a private club in 1921 by Sir Stanley Cochrane. Woodbook was first affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) in 1926. Sir Stanley had previously indulged his enthusiasm for cricket at Woodbrook, a fact that is still reflected in the pavilion style clubhouse and the cricket bell which tolled the start and finish of play and now hangs in the bar. Woodbrook hosted the Hennessy Tournament in 1957, the Irish Hospitals Tournament from 1958 to 1962, the Carroll Sweet Afton Tournament in 1963 and 1964 and the Carroll's International from 1967 to 1974. It was also the first host of the revived Irish Open in 1975. Woodbrook has also hosted the Irish PGA Championship on six occasions (1977, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1990 and 1991).

Woodbrook Cricket Club Ground was a cricket ground in Bray, Ireland. It was owned and built by Sir Stanley Cochrane, 1st Baronet as the home ground of Woodbrook Cricket Club. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1907, when Ireland played Yorkshire in a first-class match. Further first-class matches were held on the ground in 1909 when SH Cochrane's XI played the touring Australians, there were three further in 1912 when Woodbrook Club and Ground played the touring South Africans, Ireland played the same opposition, and C.B. Fry's XI played the touring Australians. This was the last recorded match on the ground. Fred Stedman was employed at the ground as a groundsman for ten years.

Shankill (Irish: Seanchill, meaning 'Old Church') is an outlying suburb of Dublin, Ireland, on the southeast of County Dublin, close to the border with County Wicklow. It is in the local government area of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown and had a population of 14,257 as of the 2016 census. It runs from the coast, between Loughlinstown and Bray, inland towards the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. Shankill borders Rathmichael, as well as Loughlinstown, Killiney, Ballybrack and Bray in County Wicklow. It is part of the civil parish of Rathmichael and contains the formerly separate district of Shanganagh, and in its southern parts, the locality of Crinken.

Woodbrook railway station, or Woodbrook Halt, was a station on the former Dublin and South Eastern Railway, and was located on the southern outskirts of Dublin, Ireland. Opened in 1910, the station closed in 1960. The halt served Shankill and Shanganagh, including the Woodbrook Estate from which it took its name, and lay a short distance north of Bray (at the northern edge of County Wicklow). As of 2020, a new station, provisionally named Woodbrook DART Station (Irish: Stáisiún DART Shruthán na Coille), was proposed to be built on the DART line in the nearby Shanganagh area of Dublin. As of late 2023, the station was yet to be constructed.

Old Connaught House is an 18th-century house located in Rathmichael, Dublin, Ireland. Though originally built for bishop William Gore, shortly after his death in 1784 it was leased by William Plunket (later Baron Plunket). The house was occupied by the Plunket family for several generations, before being used by the Congregation of Christian Brothers as a novitiate school in the mid 20th century.The house remained unoccupied for several years before being leased to a non-profit equestrian organisation. It was sold in 2000, renovated, and is now a development of residential apartments.

The Bray Methodist Church is a parish of the Methodist Church in Ireland situated on Eglington Road in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland.

The Church of the Holy Redeemer is a Catholic church situated on the Main Street in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. It is the largest church in Bray.While its records date back to February 1792, the current church dates largely from the late 1890s with the modernist front, porch, side projections and tower added during a reconstruction in 1965.A youth centre was completed behind the church in 2008 and is accessed via Herbert Road. This centre was opened in August 2008.The parish has a connection with Saint Cronan's Boys' National School amongst other local primary and secondary schools. The parish provides the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation to the children of the local schools. They also help to raise funds for their twin parish of Ikanga in Kenya.

Bray (Irish: Bré [bʲɾʲeː]) is a coastal town in north County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated about 20 km (12 mi) south of Dublin city centre on the east coast. It has a population of 33,512 making it the tenth largest urban area within Ireland (at the 2022 census). Bray is home to Ardmore Studios, and some light industry is located in the town, with some business and retail parks on its southern periphery. Commuter links between Bray and Dublin are provided by rail, Dublin Bus and the M11 and M50 motorways. Parts of the town's northern outskirts are in County Dublin.Originally developed as a planned resort town in the 19th century, Bray's popularity as a seaside resort was serviced by the Dublin and Kingstown Railway, which was extended to Bray in 1854. During the late 20th century, the town's use as a resort declined when foreign travel became an option for holiday-makers. However, day-trippers continued to come to Bray during the summer months.
