Shanty Brook

Forks Mountain is a summit located in Adirondack Mountains of New York located in the Town of Wells northeast of the hamlet of Wells. It is named Forks Mountain due to it being inside the Fork where the East Branch Sacandaga River meets the Sacandaga River.

The East Branch Sacandaga River originates at the outflow of Botheration Pond (GPS 43.682067, -74.095207) in Johnsburg, NY. It flows into the Middle Branch of the Sacandaga River at GPS (43.446084, -74.250853) in Wells, New York. It is partly located in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area. The East Branch Gorge Path is an unmarked trail that extends about a mile and climbs 115 feet along the East Branch Sacandaga River.

Dunning Brook flows into the Sacandaga River north of Wells, New York. The creek drains Charley Lake, Gilman Lake, and Dunning Pond.

Gilman Lake is a lake located north of Gilmantown, New York. Fish species present in the lake are sunfish and rainbow trout. There is a carry down off CR-16 on the east shore.

Wells Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church on Main Street in Wells, Hamilton County, New York. It was built in 1845 and is a single-story, three-by-four-bay, post and beam frame building measuring approximately 36 by 41 feet (11 by 12 m). It sits on an uncoursed mortared rubble foundation and has a gable roof. The main facade features a tympanum surmounted by a louvered bell tower topped by a pyramidal roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Wells is a town in Hamilton County, New York, United States. The population was 674 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Joshua Wells, a land agent, who built the first mills in the area. It is in the Adirondack Park and on the eastern border of the county. It is northwest of Schenectady.
