The New Zealand College of Business (also known as NZCB) was registered in New Zealand with the Ministry of Education in 2004 according to the 1989 “Education Act” (code: 1327). NZCB is also recognized by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) as a tertiary level institute which provides and support to international students (Code: 7653). Burnside Park is a cricket ground in Burnside, Canterbury, New Zealand. The first recorded match on the ground came when Canterbury Women played Auckland Women in 1974. The ground later held its only first-class match in 1991 when Canterbury played Central Districts in the 1991/92 Shell Trophy, with the match ending in a 3 wicket victory for Canterbury.It is the home ground of the Burnside West Christchurch University Cricket Club. The park also has Burnside Rugby Club, Burnside Bowling Club, Burnside Tennis Club as well as other recreation facilities.

Roto Kōhatu is a basin in Harewood, Christchurch with two artificial freshwater lakes: Lake Tahi and Lake Rua. Lake Tahi is privately owned by and only available to members of the Canterbury Jet Sports Club. Lake Rua, managed by the Christchurch City Council Park Rangers, is a public access lake for recreational activities such as swimming, sailing, and dragon boating. It is Christchurch's largest accessible lake. Multiple walking trails pass through the reserve, including the 2km Lake Circuit Walk and the 9km Otukaikino Track from the reserve to Darroch Street Reserve in Belfast. It is a popular swimming spot throughout the year for Christchurch residents and travellers.

Cobham Intermediate School is a state intermediate school in the northwestern Christchurch, New Zealand suburb of Burnside. Cobham was originally named Fendalton Intermediate. However, there was confusion between the school and Fendalton Open Air School, so the governor-general of New Zealand, Viscount Cobham, allowed the school to use his name. At the end of term 1 in 2011 long-running principal Trevor Beaton left Cobham Intermediate to retire. Scott Thelning from Mt. Pleasant School took over as principal in Term 3, 2011. In March 2018 Cobham student Maia Devereaux invited Women's Minister Julie Anne Genter to come and talk about the gender pay gap to the room 11 and 12 students.

Aorangi School was located in the suburb of Bryndwr in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. The school was closed by the government on 27 January 2010.About 40 of the former Aorangi School students transferred to Burnside Primary School. The last principal was Stephanie Thompson. The school's roll before closure was 87.The prime minister, John Key, was a student at Aorangi.
