Lincoln School (Racine, Wisconsin)

Island Park or Horlick Park is a neighborhood park covering 19 acres (0.077 km2) of land in Racine, Wisconsin. The park is located on an island, surrounded on both sides by the Root River. The land for the park was donated by William Horlick, the inventor of malted milk.

Racine Lutheran High School is a private religious high school located in Racine, Wisconsin. It is associated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Founded in 1944, the school has an enrollment of about 225 students.

The Horlick Malted Milk Company Industrial Complex is a historic factory complex in Racine, Wisconsin, where Horlicks malted milk was produced. Four buildings within the complex are listed: the castle-like Gothic Revival-style factory blocks begun in 1882 and 1902, the 1910 engine room building, and the 1916 garage.

Horlick Field, located on the north side of Racine, Wisconsin, in the United States, is a 5,000-seat football stadium and a baseball park enclosed within stone walls and chain fences. The land for the field was donated by William Horlick, the inventor of malted milk. It was designed in 1907 by Walter Dick, who also designed the North Beach Beach House. Football has been a part of Horlick Field's history since 1919. It was the home for the Horlick - Racine Legion, a member of the NFL from 1922 to 1924, and the Racine Tornadoes, an NFL team in 1926. Now the Racine Raiders, a minor league team in the Mid-States Football League, call Horlick Field their home. Teams from the high schools and local leagues play their regular season games in the baseball diamond, which is the site for local tournaments and championship games. The park has been the home of the Old Timer's Athletic Club softball tournament for over three decades. The Racine Belles, immortalized in the film A League of Their Own, called Horlick Field their home while the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League was in existence. In 1945, the Chicago American Giants of the Negro American League hosted several games at the stadium.Horlick Field has hosted 99 drum and bugle corps shows through 2013. Between 1962 and 1978, the stadium hosted 57 drum and bugle corps shows, an average of almost 3.5 shows a year.

The Racine Depot is a historic railroad station located at 1402 Liberty Street in Racine, Wisconsin. The station was built in 1901 for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway. Architects Frost & Granger designed the Georgian Revival station. The depot, located on the southbound platform, included a waiting room, restrooms, a baggage room, and a ticket office. The waiting room's decorations included oak benches, wood paneling, and a terrazzo floor. A tunnel connected the depot to the westbound platform.The station served up to twenty-six trains each day at its peak, providing a means for Racine County's citizens to travel to and from other cities. The Twin Cities 400, an express train from Chicago to Minneapolis, began service to the station in 1935; at the time, it was the fastest train in North America. The depot also brought presidential campaign trains to Racine, and Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Harry Truman all travelled through the station. In 1971, the station closed when Amtrak replaced private passenger rail service in the United States; Racine County is now served by Amtrak's Sturtevant station. There are plans to restore service to Racine station as part of a commuter line between Milwaukee and Kenosha. The depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Racine ( rə-SEEN, ray-) is a city in and the county seat of Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River. Racine is situated 22 miles (35 km) south of Milwaukee and approximately 60 miles (100 km) north of Chicago. It is the principal city of the US Census Bureau's Racine metropolitan area (consisting only of Racine County). The Racine metropolitan area is, in turn, counted as part of the Milwaukee combined statistical area. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 77,816, making it the fifth-most populous city in Wisconsin. In January 2017, it was rated "the most affordable place to live in the world" by the Demographia International Housing Affordability survey.Racine is the headquarters of a number of industries, including J. I. Case heavy equipment, S. C. Johnson & Son cleaning and chemical products, Dremel Corporation, Reliance Controls Corporation time controls and transfer switches, Twin Disc, and Arthur B. Modine heat exchangers. The Mitchell & Lewis Company, a wagonmaker in the 19th century, began making motorcycles and automobiles as Mitchell-Lewis Motor Company at the start of the 20th century. Racine is also home to InSinkErator, manufacturers of the first garbage disposal. Racine was also historically home to the Horlicks malt factory, where malted milk balls were first developed, and the Western Publishing factory where Little Golden Books were printed. Prominent architects in Racine's history include A. Arthur Guilbert and Edmund Bailey Funston, and the city is home to some works by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Wilmanor Apartments is an apartment building in Racine, Wisconsin, located at the corner of West Sixth Street and North Memorial Drive. As a well-preserved example of a large residential building from the 1920s, Wilmanor is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The three-story, U-shaped brick building consists of thirty-seven apartment units surrounding a central courtyard. These units are distributed across six separately self-contained areas, each of which has its own separate entrance from the street.

Walden III Middle and High School is a middle and high school in Racine, Wisconsin that offers alternative education. Walden is one of the Racine Unified School District's two magnet schools for secondary students, alongside the REAL School. Located between the city's Midtown and School Section neighborhoods, Walden is smaller than most Racine schools, with 292 high school and 246 middle school students as of 2016, and "emphasizes increased freedom based on responsibility and accountability".

Dania Hall was a historic gathering place for people of Danish heritage in Racine, Wisconsin. Located at 1019 State Street, it was built by Society Dania, an organization formed in 1867 to aid Danish immigrants in learning language and customs. The structure, completed in 1876, featured a large meeting room, where there were dinners, dances and performances by the Singing Society and Dania Dramatic Club. In the early years the facility also had a Danish school and library. In 1976 it was the site of a reception for Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, and Prince Henrik.There were Dania Halls in other parts of the country, including Hudson, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Livermore, California and Modesto, California.

William Horlick High School (also known as Horlick or Racine Horlick High School) is a comprehensive public four-year high school in Racine, Wisconsin with an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. The school opened to students in 1928, after William Horlick, the original patent holder for malted milk, donated the land the school was built on. It was designed by Racine architect J. Mandor Matson. The school was expanded during the early 1960s. The school is a member of the WIAA Southeast Conference and has a long-standing cross-town rivalry with Washington Park High School, which also opened in 1928. The school colors are scarlet and gray.

No. 4 Engine House is a historic fire station building in Racine, Wisconsin, built in 1888 in a High Victorian Italianate style. It is located in the north-central part of the city, at the corner of Lincoln Street and Barker Street. The cream brick building, designed by W.F. Goodhue, is primarily two stories tall but features a four-story hose-drying and observation tower.

The Keland House, also known as the Keland-Johnson House, located in Racine, Wisconsin, in the United States, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1954, almost 50 years after he designed the Thomas P. Hardy House in Racine. It is currently known as the Boyd Home.
