Taylor Barracks is a former military installation in the Vogelstang suburb of Mannheim, Germany, operated and administrated by the United States Army, Europe, USAREUR. In Dec 2010 USAREUR announced that the installation was handed back to the German government.

Benjamin Franklin Village, also called BFV, was a United States Army installation in Mannheim-Käfertal, Germany. It opened in 1947 after World War II and was named after Benjamin Franklin. It was closed as part of the restructuring of US forces in Europe. The last soldier and their family moved out in September 2012.The Mannheim military community was composed of several posts within a relatively small area in and around Mannheim. Sullivan Barracks, Taylor Barracks, and Funari Barracks, Benjamin Franklin Village housing and the military shopping area were all located within walking distance of one another. The approximate total population in Mannheim assigned prior to closure was 15,000 which consists of: Army active duty, 4,000; Air Force active duty, 200; Army family members, 6,484; Air Force family members, 197; civilian employees and family members, 3,266 and US military retirees, 727. The closure of Mannheim and Heidelberg Kasernes is estimated to save the US $112,000,000 per year in operational costs starting in 2016.

Miramar is a water park, salt-water spa and sauna complex opened in 1973 at the Waidsee Lake, Weinheim, Germany. As of 2014, approximately 50% of the 650,000 annual visitors pay extra for the Sauna area. The catchment area for visitors covers a 100 kilometres (60 mi) radius, including Frankfurt am Main to the north, and Pforzheim to the south.The main bathing area contains a wave pool and several slides. As of 2018 there were nine water slides in the main indoor pool area with various levels of difficulty and speed, plus jacuzzis and outside areas. The thermal spa area has saltwater pools, and these pools are also used to offer physiotherapy.The sauna area is designated as a nudist/Freikörperkultur (FKK) area, which is extended to the swimming and thermal spa areas on Tuesday evenings.

Käfertal is a borough (Stadtbezirk) of Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region which is divided into the quarters Käfertal-Mitte, Speckweggebiet, Käfertal-Süd, Sonnenschein and Franklin. It has a population of 26,446 people as of December 31, 2019.

The Automuseum Dr. Carl Benz is a privately owned automobile museum in Ladenburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Established in 1984, it focuses on the career of the automotive pioneer Carl Benz (also known as Karl Benz), and on the history of the automobile manufacturers associated with him. Since 2005, the museum has been housed in a former factory building used from 1908 to produce automobiles under the "C. Benz Söhne" brand.

Ladenburg is a town in northwestern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies on the right bank of the river Neckar, 10 km (6 mi) northwest of Heidelberg and 10 km (6 mi) east of Mannheim. The town's history goes back to the Celtic and Roman Ages, when it was called Lopodunum. Emperor Trajan elevated it to city status ('civitas') in 98 AD. The historic old town and its Fachwerkhäuser date back to the Late Middle Ages when Ladenburg was the capital of the Prince-Bishopric of Worms. Famous residents include Carl Benz, inventor of the first automobile. The Bertha Benz Memorial Route, named after Carl's wife Bertha, runs through the town.

Weinheim (Bergstraße) Hauptbahnhof is a station in the town of Weinheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is served by Intercity services on the Main-Neckar Railway between Frankfurt and Heidelberg/Mannheim. The Weschnitz Valley Railway (Weschnitztalbahn) to Furth in the Odenwald starts at Weinheim station. There is also a freight railway to Viernheim, the last remaining section of the former Weinheim–Worms railway.
