Jerry Collins Stadium is a multi-purpose sporting complex in Porirua, New Zealand. It currently serves as the home ground of rugby union club Northern United RFC and the Wellington Rugby League representative team, as well as the second home for Team Wellington of the New Zealand Football Championship. Porirua Park also has a Softball field located at the western end of the park. Porirua Park Stadium was officially renamed Jerry Collins Stadium on 25 March 2016, in memory of the late All Black.

Rānui is a suburb of Porirua City approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) north of Wellington in New Zealand. Rānui means midday in the Māori language.

The Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR) is a New Zealand Crown Research Institute (CRI). Tawa College is a state coeducational secondary school located in Tawa, Wellington, New Zealand. The school opened in 1961, and primarily serves students in Tawa and the surrounding suburbs. A total of 1252 students from Years 9 to 13 attend the school as of April 2023.

It is double tracked with an island platform, and is 13.75 kilometres (8.54 mi) from Wellington railway station, the southern terminus of the NIMT. The station serves the suburb of Tawa.

Grenada North is a small suburb in northern Wellington, New Zealand. It is 5 km south of Porirua's city centre, and 13 km north of Wellington's city centre. Its western boundary is formed by State Highway 1 (SH 1N) and Takapu Road. The suburb itself was named after Grenada in the Caribbean, and most streets are named after Caribbean islands. The Caribbean Avenue Reserve can be accessed from Caribbean Drive.

Porirua railway station is an important intermediate station in New Zealand on the Kapiti Line from Wellington and is part of Wellington's Metlink suburban rail network operated by Transdev Wellington. The island platform urban railway station is on a double track section of the North Island Main Trunk which was opened in 1885 as a single main line on the alignment of today's Down (southbound) line. There is subway access to Porirua city centre and bus stops serving the Porirua area.

Porirua Central is the central business district and central suburb of Porirua, in the Wellington region of New Zealand's North Island.

Porirua, (Māori: Pari-ā-Rua) a city in the Wellington Region of the North Island of New Zealand, is one of the four cities that constitute the Wellington metropolitan area. The name 'Porirua' is a corruption of 'Pari-rua', meaning "the tide sweeping up both reaches". It almost completely surrounds Porirua Harbour at the southern end of the Kāpiti Coast. As of June 2023, Porirua had a population of 60,900.
