King John's Hill

East Worldham is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Worldham, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) east of Alton; and 1.9 miles (3.1 km) south-west of Wyck. Hartley Mauditt and West Worldham are nearby, which, along with East Worldham, form the parish of Worldham. The village is just east of the A31 road and contains St Mary's Church and the Three Horse Shoes pub, amongst other buildings. Worldham Golf Course located just to west and Dean Farm Golf Course just to the east. For centuries the village and surrounding parish were owned by Winchester College. In 1931 the parish had a population of 208.

Binswood is a 62.5-hectare (154-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest southeast of Alton in Hampshire.This is a small surviving part of the Royal Forest of Woolmer. It is mainly unimproved grassland with scattered trees and areas of dense woodland, and the oldest trees may be 200 years old. It is still managed as a wood with common rights of grazing, and actively managed wood pasture is now a rare habitat.The site is a registered common which is crossed by public footpaths.

Wyck is a hamlet in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1.1 miles (1.8 km) northeast of the village of East Worldham, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) east of Alton, just off the B3004 road. It has a total of 24 households, 3 of which are in the Wyck Place Estate. It is a small hamlet with an agricultural heritage and it is walking distance from its closest neighbours, East Worldham and Binsted. It is in the civil parish of Binsted.

Wick Wood and Worldham Hangers is a 91.8-hectare (227-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Bordon in Hampshire. It is part of the East Hampshire Hangers Special Area of Conservation.This site has ancient semi-natural woods on the steep slopes of the Upper Greensand and the adjacent gently sloping Gault Clay, with a number of springs at the junction of the two strata. The ground flora on the unstable upper slopes is sparse, but lower down it is rich and dominated by wild garlic. Two ponds add to the habitat diversity.

Worldham is a civil parish in Hampshire, England. East Worldham is the main settlement in Worldham Parish, a civil parish with a population of approximately 310, within the East Hampshire district. It is situated about two miles south east of Alton on B3004 road. It has two neighbouring villages, East Worldham and West Worldham. It also contains the hamlet of Hartley Mauditt in its boundaries.

West Worldham is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Worldham, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.1 miles (3.4 km) southeast of the town of Alton. The village of East Worldham is to the East and Hartley Mauditt is to the South, which along with West Worldham form the current Parish of Worldham. West Worldham contains some eighteen houses with a population of about 50; about half the population of 1851, when it was 98.Manor Farm and cottage and the late 12th century St Nicholas Church are both Grade II listed buildings.

Hartley Mauditt is 2.6 miles (4.2 km) southeast of the town of Alton, and 1.2 miles (1.9 km) south of the village of East Worldham. The nearest railway station is Alton. It is on the west side of the parish of Worldham, in the East Hampshire district of the county of Hampshire. It is now classified as an abandoned village and former civil parish, and appears to have been virtually uninhabited since the 18th century, except for a few cottages and some larger houses. In 1931 the whole parish (larger than the village) had a population of 102.St Leonard's church is the only remaining building of the pre-18th century village. It is situated on the West side of a lake, as seen in the picture.

St Leonard's Church is a Church of England parish church in the hamlet of Hartley Mauditt, East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. All that is left of the hamlet is the 12th-century church, the foundations of a manor house, and a large pond, Hartley Pond, which lies opposite the church on the other side of the road. The church is dedicated to St Leonard.

Oakhanger is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Bordon, which lies 1.7 miles (2.7 km) east, of the B3004 road. The village is part of the parish of Selborne, which covers an area of 7,915 acres (3,203 ha). The nearest railway station is Alton, which is 3.8 miles (6.1 km) northwest of the village, although Oakhanger formerly had its own military railway station, Oakhanger Halt railway station on the Longmoor Military Railway, until its closure. A Roman road passed through Oakhanger although no traces of it remain today. The first mention of the village came from a charter dating to the early 10th century, and the lands of Oakhanger were passed on by numerous families up until the early 20th century. The village contains four Grade II listed buildings, including Oakhanger Farmhouse and its three outbuildings. Oakhanger also has one pub, The Red Lion. St Mary Magdalene's Church was built in 1873. The former Royal Air Force station, RAF Oakhanger, still retains its satellite domes, although the station is now privately run.

Shortheath Common is a 59.5-hectare (147-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Bordon in Hampshire. It is also a Local Nature Reserve and a Special Area of Conservation.The common has areas of bracken, woodland, heath and a pond, but its main ecological interest is a large valley mire. Much of it is covered by Sphagnum mosses, but there are also many vascular plants, such as velvet bent and the insectivorous round-leaved sundew. The invertebrates are also of particular interest, including 23 breeding species of dragonfly.

Selborne Priory was a priory of Augustinian canons in Selborne, Hampshire, England.

Coombe Wood and The Lythe is a 44-hectare (110-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Bordon in Hampshire. It is part of East Hampshire Hangers Special Area of Conservation and Combe Wood is a National Trust property.This site has woods on Wealden Upper Greensand with a rich bryophyte flora and calcareous ground flora, especially green hellebore and violet helleborine. There are also meadows bordering a stream and an oak and hazel wood on Gault clay.
