Donnybrook (Irish: Domhnach Broc, meaning 'The Church of Saint Broc') is a district of Dublin, Ireland. It is situated on the southside of the city, in the Dublin 4 postal district, and is home to the Irish public service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). It was once part of the Pembroke Township. Its neighbouring suburbs are Ballsbridge, Sandymount, Ranelagh and Clonskeagh. Donnybrook is also a civil parish mainly situated in the old barony of Dublin.

Founded in 1900, the curriculum is traditional, with a broad general programme of subjects and a compulsory Transition year programme. Muckross is one of a number of Dominican schools in Ireland. It has a student body of 708.The school is active in many sports and sports tournaments, including in hockey, tennis, and basketball. Some former students have gone on to play for Ireland at the international level. Academically, the school has achieved high results and ranked highly in The Irish Times list of feeder schools for 3rd level education in Ireland.

The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS) (Irish: Institiúid Ard-Léinn Bhaile Átha Cliath) is a statutory, independent research institute in Ireland. It was established in 1940 by the Taoiseach, Éamon de Valera in Dublin, Ireland.The Institute consists of three schools: the School of Theoretical Physics, the School of Cosmic Physics and the School of Celtic studies. The directors of these schools are currently Professor Werner Nahm, Professor Chris Bean and Professor Ruairí Ó hUiginn. The Institute under the act is empowered to "train students in methods of advanced research" but does not itself award degrees; graduate students working under the supervision of Institute researchers can, with the agreement of the governing board of the appropriate school, be registered for a higher degree in any university worldwide.Following a comprehensive review of the higher education sector, and its institutions, conducted by the Higher Education Authority for the Minister for Education and Skills in 2013, DIAS was approved to remain an independent research institute carrying out fundamental research. It appointed a new CEO, Dr Eucharia Meehan, formerly Director of the Irish Research Council, in the summer of 2017.

The Royal Hospital, Donnybrook (Irish: Ospidéal Ríoga, Domhnach Broc) is a hospital in Donnybrook, Dublin, Ireland, founded in 1743. It was originally set up as a "hospital for incurables" to provide sufferers with food, shelter and relief from their distressing conditions.

Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club is a tennis and squash club in south Dublin, Ireland. Established in 1877, Fitzwilliam is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the world. It has held the Irish Open annually since the late 19th century. It moved to its current location in 1969 replacing a Victorian building named Epworth Hall which was sold by Wesley College Dublin.

Saint Bartholomew's Church, Dublin, is a Church of Ireland (Anglican) parish church located on Clyde Road in Ballsbridge on the Southside of Dublin.

Episcopal Chapel and Asylum for Penitent Females, was Protestant "Magdalene" asylum for "fallen women" and an Episcopal Chapel on Upper Baggot Street in Dublin. It was located on the corner of Baggot Street Upper and Waterloo Road in Dublin. The asylum could accommodate 50 penitent women and the chapel could accommodate 1,200 worshipers, it was run by a committee of benevolent donors. It was built between 1832 and 1835, it opened in 1835 and closed in 1945. In 1858 a trust was set up for Episcopal Chapel and Asylum for Penitent Females Upper Baggot St., Dublin. This Asylum was described as being one of the first activities of the Church of Ireland's, Dublin City Mission. It could accommodate 30 women. The building was demolished and offices and retail outlets, built on the site. The Very Rev. Hamilton Verschoyle, future Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh, served as a chaplain in Baggot Street. Rev. J Sandford, served as Assistant Chaplain as did Rev. J. J. Frew. Rev. Ambrose Wellesley Leet, D.D. served as Chaplain.
