Lugu Subdistrict

Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Chinese: 长沙高新技术产业开发区; abbr: CSHTZ) is a national high-tech industrial zone in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. It is the original Changsha Technology Development Experimental Zone (长沙科技开发试验区) founded in July, 1988. It was renamed to the present name, meanwhile the zone was upgraded to one of first batch of national HTZs. In March 1991, and became a national innovative technology pilot zone approved by the Ministry of Science & Technology in 2009. Its core area is situated in the west of Changsha on the west shore of the Xiang River, and the north side of Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area.In 2016, the total planned area of CSHTZ is 140 km2 (54 sq mi). The CSHTZ consists of Yuelu Mountain Hi-Tech Park (岳麓山高科技园), Xingsha Industrial Hi-Tech Park (星沙工业高科技园), Longping High-Tech Park (隆平高科技园), Broad Hi-Tech Park (远大高科技园) and City Proper Policy District (市内政策区), of which the Yuelu Mountain Hi-Tech Park is its core industrial park directly managed by CSHTZ. Yuelu Mountain Hi-Tech Park is also called "Luvalley". The controlled overall plan area of Luvalley is 80 km2 (31 sq mi) and up to now 15 km2 (5.8 sq mi) are of development scale.The pillar industries in CSHTZ are service outsourcing, environmental protection, new materials, new energy, biomedicine, electronic information and advanced manufacturing. As of 2015, the total business income of enterprises in the zone reaches 425.1 billion yuan (US$68.25 billion), the gross output value of industry is 379.2 billion yuan (US$60.88 billion). of which the total business income in Luvalley is 250 billion yuan (US$40.14 billion), its added value of scale-sized industries is 36.78 billion yuan (US$5.91 billion).

Tianding Subdistrict (Chinese: 天顶街道; pinyin: Tiāndǐng Jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. It was reorganized to a subdistrict from the former Tianding Township (天顶乡) in August 2012. The subdistrict has an area of 20.86 square kilometres (8.05 sq mi) with a population of 56,800 (as of 2012).

Lucky knot bridge (or knot bridge or knot footbridge) spans the Dragon King Harbor River in Meixi Lake District, Changsha, China. The 185 m long and 24 m high pedestrian truss bridge, which is bright red in colour, was designed by NEXT architects based in Amsterdam and Beijing and completed in October 2016. The bridge, which started out as a design for an international competition in 2013, was designed keeping tourist activities in mind. The design is inspired by a Möbius strip as well as Chinese knotting. However, mathematically, the bridge forms a two-sided surface, in which the top side of one of its pathways loops back to form the bottom side of the other pathway, so it is not a true Möbius strip.

Meixi Lake Park (simplified Chinese: 梅溪湖公园; traditional Chinese: 梅溪湖公園; pinyin: Meíxīhú Gōngyuán) is a public, urban park in Yuelu District of Changsha, Hunan, China. Covering an area of 14.8-square-kilometre (5.7 sq mi), the park was established in 2012 and opened to the public in 2016. Meixi Lake Park is bordered by West Fenglin Road (枫林西路) on the North, Third Ring Road (三环线) on the West, Taohualing scenery spot (桃花岭景区) on the South, and West Second Ring Road (西二环) on the East. It is a multifunctional botanical garden integrating recreation, physical activities, plant species collection and display as well as tourism.

Wangchengpo Subdistrict (Chinese: 望城坡街道; pinyin: Wàngchéngpō Jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. It was formed in 1998. The subdistrict has an area of 4.96 square kilometres (1.92 sq mi) with a permanent population of about 80,000 (as of 2015). The subdistrict has 10 communities under its jurisdiction.

Hunan First Normal University (Chinese: 湖南第一师范学院), founded in 1903, is a university located in Yuelu District, Changsha, Hunan Province, China.Hunan First Normal University covers a total area of 1346 mu, with more than 420,000 square meters of floor space. The university is divided into 10 colleges. As of 2023, the Best Chinese Universities Ranking, also known as the "Shanghai Ranking", placed Hunan First Normal University at 14th in Hunan province and 344th in China.

Wangyue Subdistrict (Chinese: 望岳街道; pinyin: Wàngyuè Jiēdào) is an urban subdistrict and the seat of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. The subdistrict is located in the north eastern part of the district, it is bordered to the north by Yueliangdao Subdistrict of Wangcheng District, to the east by Guanshaling Subdistrict, to the south by Meixihu, Lugu and Yinpenling Subdistricts, to the west by Wangchengpo Subdistrict. Wangyue covers 13.6 km2 (5.3 sq mi) with a population of 27,812 (as of 2010 census), it is divided into four communities and four communities under its jurisdiction, its administrative centre is at Qiliying Community (七里营社区).
