Lugu Subdistrict (or Luvalley; Chinese: 麓谷街道; pinyin: lù-gǔ jiēdào) is an urban subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. Historically the former State-owned Dongfanghong Farm of Changsha (长沙国营东方红农场) was in the territory of today's Lugu Subdistrict. The subdistrict is home and the core area of Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, it is dubbed "Luvalley" (Chinese: 麓谷; lit. 'Yuelu Mountain valley').The subdistrict of Dongfanghong was reformed from part of Lugu Subidstrict on March 1, 2017. Lugu has an area of 21.6 square kilometres (8.3 sq mi) with a household population of 270,000. The subdistrict has 12 communities under its jurisdiction.

It was reorganized to a subdistrict from the former Tianding Township (天顶乡) in August 2012. The subdistrict has an area of 20.86 square kilometres (8.05 sq mi) with a population of 56,800 (as of 2012).

Wangyue Subdistrict (Chinese: 望岳街道; pinyin: Wàngyuè Jiēdào) is an urban subdistrict and the seat of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. The subdistrict is located in the north eastern part of the district, it is bordered to the north by Yueliangdao Subdistrict of Wangcheng District, to the east by Guanshaling Subdistrict, to the south by Meixihu, Lugu and Yinpenling Subdistricts, to the west by Wangchengpo Subdistrict. Wangyue covers 13.6 km2 (5.3 sq mi) with a population of 27,812 (as of 2010 census), it is divided into four communities and four communities under its jurisdiction, its administrative centre is at Qiliying Community (七里营社区).

Wangchengpo Subdistrict (Chinese: 望城坡街道; pinyin: Wàngchéngpō Jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. It was formed in 1998. The subdistrict has an area of 4.96 square kilometres (1.92 sq mi) with a permanent population of about 80,000 (as of 2015). The subdistrict has 10 communities under its jurisdiction.

Meixi Lake Park (simplified Chinese: 梅溪湖公园; traditional Chinese: 梅溪湖公園; pinyin: Meíxīhú Gōngyuán) is a public, urban park in Yuelu District of Changsha, Hunan, China. Covering an area of 14.8-square-kilometre (5.7 sq mi), the park was established in 2012 and opened to the public in 2016. Meixi Lake Park is bordered by West Fenglin Road (枫林西路) on the North, Third Ring Road (三环线) on the West, Taohualing scenery spot (桃花岭景区) on the South, and West Second Ring Road (西二环) on the East. It is a multifunctional botanical garden integrating recreation, physical activities, plant species collection and display as well as tourism.

Despite its English name, the school has not been granted university status. The college is under the Hunan Provincial Department of Education.

Yuelu District (simplified Chinese: 岳麓区; traditional Chinese: 嶽麓區; pinyin: Yuèlù qū) is one of six urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, China. It is the 4th most populous district (after Heshan, Dingcheng and Yueyanglou Districts) in Hunan. The district is bordered to the north by Wangcheng District, to the west by Ningxiang County, to the south by Yuhu District of Xiangtan City, across the Xiang river to the west by Tianxin, Furong and Kaifu Districts. Located on the west bank of the Xiang River, as the western part of the City proper, the district is named after Mount Yuelu, one of the national parks, Yuelu District covers 538.83 km2 (208.04 sq mi) with registered population of 644,834 and resident population of 818,900 (as of 2014). The district has 16 subdistricts and 2 towns under its jurisdiction, its administrative centre is at Wangyue (望岳街道).
