From its tower at more than 1200 feet above sea level (HAAT:194 m./674 ft.) WRKI's 29,500 watt signal can be heard in such large Connecticut cities as Bridgeport, Danbury, Stamford and New Haven.The station is owned by Townsquare Media and it carries a classic rock radio format. The studios and offices are located on Federal Road (U.S. Route 202) in Brookfield; the transmitter is on Carmen Hill Road, also in Brookfield.

WINE (940 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station broadcasting a classic rock format, simulcast from WRKI (95.1 FM). Licensed to Brookfield, Connecticut, it serves the Danbury area. The station is owned by Townsquare Media. By day, WINE transmits with 680 watts, but because 940 AM is a Canadian and Mexican clear channel frequency, WINE reduces power at night to only four watts to avoid interference. The transmitter is on Carmen Hill Road in Brookfield.

It is in the northwest corner of Brookfield and the southwest corner of New Milford, on the east shore of Candlewood Lake. It is bordered to the south by Candlewood Shores, to the north by Chimney Point, and to the west by the town of New Fairfield. The community also consists of a private country club complete with a marina, a 9-hole golf course, a clubhouse, tennis facilities, and recreational fields. There is also a private beach which is accessible to community residents and their guests, including those who are not members of the country club.Candlewood Lake Club was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Chimney Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of New Milford, Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest corner of the town, on a peninsula of the same name on the east side of Candlewood Lake. It is bordered to the south by Candlewood Lake Club. Chimney Point was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

New Milford High School is a four-year, public, coeducational high school in New Milford, Connecticut. Currently, approximately 1,600 students attend the school. Although a majority of the students attending the school are from New Milford, others are from the nearby town of Sherman. The school is located at 388 Danbury Road in the town of New Milford and is a part of the New Milford School District. Other high schools in the district include the Canterbury School and the Faith Church Preparatory School, although New Milford High School is the only public high school.

The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts is a theater located in the historic Curtis School for Boys gymnasium building in Brookfield, Connecticut, located within the Brookfield Center Historic District. Additional workshops and special events are added throughout the year, such as the Brookfield Film Festival which is held by the Brookfield Arts Commission. The festival lasts three days, and screens short and foreign films.

Its 2.5-acre (1.0 ha) campus is located 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Danbury, Connecticut, on the banks of the Still River, with an historic mill building as its centerpiece. Its six buildings house seven fully equipped studios, an exhibition gallery, a retail craft gallery and gift shop, and housing for visiting faculty.

The school offers a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and is frequently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top high schools in Connecticut and the United States. Brookfield is one of the twenty-one school districts in District Reference Group B.In the 2012–2013 school year the school had 918 students. The ethnic makeup of the student body is approximately 97% Caucasian, 0.9% Black, 0.6% Asian, and 1.8% Hispanic.

The Lover's Leap Bridge is a wrought-iron lenticular truss bridge over the Housatonic River located in Lovers Leap State Park in New Milford, Connecticut. Built in 1895 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, it is one of the last bridges built by the company and is a particularly ornate example of its work. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and is now open only for foot traffic.
