2017 Red Bull Air Race of Abu Dhabi

The 2016 Red Bull Air Race of Abu Dhabi was the first round of the 2016 Red Bull Air Race World Championship season, the eleventh season of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. The event was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

The Federal National Council (FNC) (Arabic: المجلس الوطني الإتحادي, al-Majlis al-Watani al-Ittihadi) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an advisory quasi-parliamentary body in the UAE. The FNC consists of 40 members. Twenty of the members are indirectly elected by the hand-picked 33% of Emirati citizens who have voting rights through an electoral college, while the other twenty are appointed by the rulers of each emirate. According to Reuters, "the process of selecting the people who can either elect or be elected is opaque."The first election for half the members of the FNC took place in 2006. Members of the FNC serve 4-year terms. The last election for the indirectly elected members took place on 5 October 2019, and the next election is to be held in October 2023. The FNC assembly hall is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.The National Election Committee (NEC) was established in February 2011 by the UAE Federal Supreme Council, and is chaired by the Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs. Elections are conducted by the NEC which nominates members of the electoral college. Any citizen can be selected as a member. The NEC also manages the election of FNC representatives from all the emirates. The members of the electoral college can nominate themselves to be candidates for the FNC.

Marina Mall (Arabic: مركز المارينا) is an Abu Dhabi shopping mall and entertainment venue which was completed in December 2000 and opened its doors to the public on 28 March 2001. The Mall is located along the breakwater on Corniche road, close to the Emirates Palace hotel. In January 2017, Forbes recognized Marina Mall as one of the top shopping malls in Abu Dhabi.

The hotel project was launched in December 2001 and was initially operated by Kempinski from its opening in November 2005 until 1 January 2020.Due to the change in management, the Palace was renovated over the course of two years.

It is located in the former Umm Habiba Girls School. It is adjacent to the Lycée Français Théodore Monod (LfTM), the French international school.

Khalidiyah Mall is a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, in the densely populated residential area of Al Khalidiyah. It houses 160 stores including Lulu Hypermarket and has an area of 86,000 sq m (about 800,000 square feet). The mall was opened in January 2007 and is run by Lulu Group International.
